IMDB score are biased and incomplete , it's a movie fan boys website who always dismiss the female led films and romance, just like how oscar dismiss superhero film or sci-fi. If we can call some film as oscar bait film, we can call many film too, an fan boys bait film.... It's not to say that IMDB is useless, but you have to aware their preference. In the case of shawshank redemption, people like to criticize oscar due to the reason of shawshank redemption snub. Please note that in 1994, shawshank redemption was not even nominated at Golden Globe and BAFTA, It's oscar and academy only to pick this film up as best picture nominees.....and nearly half of the gross came after oscar nomination. It's oscar, largely noticed the legacy of the film, and sent that effect to the movie fans community....

Avatar's script is weak but the movie is great, that is the part that I always admire of james cameron. He can turn the 2nd-3rd class screenplay into the worldclass experience! i do agree a great film need to have great story or plot or script, but turn a sub-par script into a critically acclaimed, oscar-worthy blockbuster? It all take a one of the kind of great directing!! People always complain avatar and titanic story are weak, but come on, expect a great screenplay? Just go ahead and read the novel!

As far as I liked all these amazing run from IW, I don't like if Titanic surpassed by IW. Only 3 films from 90s stay in all time top 50. I need that representation in all time chart! And,Titanic is an all time epic classic that should stay as top as it can be!!!

ultron's labour day was on its 2nd friday, which means 2nd weekend was likely inflated as that friday was not longer worked as holiday'eve but full holiday. CW's labour day was on opening sunday, which ultimately, turn the next day-monday into a holiday while sunday itself becoming an "extra" saturday. (I assume a replaced public holiday that fall on sunday is a norm across the world). IW on the other hand, is an mega-event which holidays effect would be minimal since people somehow have to watch...and It's not like CW and ultron had their holiday in saturday.
