  1. Yeah, I feel like it will go down like great teen and teen romance comedies. Mean Girls, The Edge of Seventeen and many more. Love, Simon is a great addition to the genre and much needed to normalize LGBT+ people even more. Ah, can't wait to see it again when it releases generally in April!

  3. Just got back from the Secret Unlimited Screening, it was Love, Simon. So funny and heartwarming! I recommend it! Hope it does well at the box office.
  4. Black Panther coming in just below Star Wars: The Force Awaken's $42.35 million. It would need a 34.5% or better to beat it. A Wrinkle In Time isn't doing well especially with a budget of over $100 million. Strangers: Prey at Night is doing about half the business of the 2008 original which is expected for a sequel that is coming out 10 years after the original. Gringo is doing abysmally as is The Hurricane Heist.
  5. Great holds given the weather. Kind of a meh opening for Red Sparrow. Black Panther is doing great. The Greatest Showman has insane legs, might have done much better if there wasn't massive amounts of snow at the weekend. Sad that Game Night couldn't open higher.
  6. Given a base weekend of $65.8 million (-35% on Sat to Sun) So, next weekend it needs a drop of 44.2% to be the 3rd biggest 4th weekend above The Avengers' $36.7 million 35.7% drop would put it above The Force Awakens' $42.25 million would give it 2nd best 3rd weekend. And the much more impossible 23.5% drop would put it above Avatar for best 3rd weekend. My guess is very close to Avengers, but its fun to think how insane it would be if it was possible for it to beat the top 2
  7. Yeah, worldwide we are looking at $1.2-1.3 Billion, which is still really fucking weird to type for Black Panther.
  8. Literally no one, even the highest predictions had people saying around $300 million before the tracking sky rocketed, now we are looking at MORE THAN DOUBLE that by the end of its run.
  9. I think it might fall a tiny bit short of that around high $680's/low $690's which would still be the third biggest film of all time.
  10. Anything better than a 40% drop for Sunday would let Black Panther reach $500 million on Sunday after only 17 days! This run is absolutely insane. $500 million would put it $42.3 MILLION AHEAD of The Avengers after 17 days.
  11. Yeah, I got that from IMDb. But I don't think they should waste their money there to be honest, it will likely not do well in Russia if it did open.
  12. Yeah, he's hilarious in it. Loved Winston from New Girl too.
  13. Just saw Game Night and Finding Your Feet Game Night is easily one of the best R-rated comedies in a while. Finding Your Feet was... ok... I'm NOT the target audience but I can appreciate that its probably going to mean a lot more to 50/60+ audiences. Plus, there were funny moments and the acting is pretty good.
  14. I haven't been here for long, but I'm sorry to hear this. Its always hard when someone passes away in your family, but when you are really close to them it can be even worse. It sounds like you have a good support network and I wish you the best in this sad time

  16. My Predictions for those 3, basically in line with the each winning something. Key: Film Opening/Domestic/OS/Worldwide Black Panther $202/$675-725/$650-700/$1.325-1.425 Avengers: Infinity War $225/$560-630/$875-950/$1.435-1.580 Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom $150/$400-450/$950-1/$1.35-1.45
  17. This is why I'm hoping for Love, Simon. I know it probably won't happen, but one can hope.
  18. 2nd - 4th March 2018 Updated Predictions: Black Panther $70M, Red Sparrow $18.3M, Death Wish $16.3M, Game Night $11.1M, Peter Rabbit $8.9M 9th - 11th March 2018 1. A Wrinkle In Time $45 2. Black Panther $44.1/$576 3. Gringo $8 4. Red Sparrow $7/$26 5. Peter Rabbit $5.7/$93 6. Death Wish $5.2/$20 7. The Hurricane Heist $5 8. Game Night $4.8/$37 9. Annihilation $2.7/$24.5 10. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle $2.6/$398
  19. I'm guessing the sing-a-long version helped a little for The Greatest Showman to stay flat. It is an unprecedented performance. Amazing.
  20. February Calendar Gross is at $808M as of 23/02 ($10M from the record 2012's $818.2M) Add $47.8M from BP, $7M from GN and $4.2M from Annihilation And we are at $867M from 3 numbers on Saturday. Still have the rest of Saturday until Wednesday to go. Likely going to pass $1B for a quarter of $1.964B+ so far.
