  1. Pacific Rim really wasn't a good film for me, all it had was the premise, which I have already seen done executed a 100x better.
  2. You're right it's weak, it will be rectified in 2020. Frozen got the children sales inflation, hard to beat... only way I keep myself sane is knowing that the difference is <2%. I mean it's nowhere as weak as Holywood's attempts at out-grossing Titanic, let alone Avatar.
  3. but he was talking about a film with no shelf life... Avatar has the second most shelf life of any blu-ray ever
  4. I'm struggling trying to connect the dots here tele... how is webswingers post relate to me?
  5. It's never seen before scenery regardless of whether it's going to be in Avatar 2 specifically, which Jim standing there no way it isn't part of Pandora.
  6. Nope, that's a view never seen before, could be test footage as KP said. Looks like a water reflection on the right... they're floating above an ocean it seems WAIT A SECOND... THESE MOUNTAINS AIN'T FLOATING guys this is literally new scenery from Avatar 2
  7. Incredible performance! Just incredible. I wonder if black Panther can sneak into the #7th slot making over $1.405b world wide, making it (get this) the SECOND highest grossing super movie of all time, not bad at all.
  8. in the same way the first good colour film marketed it's innovation I'm sure.
  9. Perfect Storm... now this is a massive complement to Avatar. -Best 3D ever seen... embarrassingly so still to this day (Gravity was great) -Best CGI ever seen -Brilliantly told story with romance -Epic action sequences -Jim's amazing world of Pandora How can one man create the perfect storm, not once, but twice though? You feel another storm brewing.
  10. My intention when I made Avatar was to do Battle Angel next. However, the positive feedback for Avatar and the support of the message of Avatar, encouraged me to do more of those films. For me, the success was a factor because I was encouraged by the fact that an environmental film, or a film about nature, could be successful. It's certainly not just about money. I'm considering success to mean the measure of the ability of the film to communicate. Every director wants their film to communicate. -James Cameron Cameron is making the Avatar sequels because his message reached masses of people. He literally is trying to save the world here, now his exact level of impact is hard to determine but it's safe to say he's doing more than his fair share. I think it would be reasonable to put him above 99.999999% of the earths population in terms of saving the world. Yes Jim Cameron is in the top 100 world saves on planet earth, climate change will kill us all dudalp.
  11. we're making up terms as we go, the word cultural is pretty worthless it seems.
