  1. MOST EPIC BOX OFFICE RUN FYC Elemental: a multiplier above 5x. Nuff said. Saved major face for Pixar The Boy and the Heron: Made an extraordinary amount for a Ghibli/Hayao Miyazaki movie. Proved that Hayao Miyazaki has ascended to household name status outside Japan.
  2. hmm yeah I'm not exactly a Nolan stan (most of my posts aren't about Oppenheimer) So maybe realistically it can get 9 oscars. 🤷‍♂️
  3. Is Oppenheimer going to win 11 Oscars? I think it's going to win 11 Oscars. And it's not going to have the benefit of Sound being two categories like Titanic and LOTR had.
  4. I have read this book in elementary school. Would make a good movie. Kind of like Are You There God, It's Me, Margaret, but more appropriate for younger kids. Just that whole 1970s kid lit vibe.
  5. Oh wow. Glad to know some Animaniacs writers from the 90s get work today.

  8. Ebert was also kind of dramatic, imploring readers to expect Meirelles to become a great director of other feature films, which mostly did not happen.
  9. it only got ONE vote out of 41 lists. It could have easily not been voted for at all, which is pretty crazy for a Disney animated movie from the recent past. I also wonder if Lightyear got any votes...
  10. some of these movies are wack AF but The Rookie is not one of them.
  11. yes this is true. It was a lower budget movie. But of course back then Disney movies would be re-released in theaters and they would make money as there was no home video or streaming back then. They all became profitable eventually.
  12. 4 movies into this list and I still haven't seen any of these movies.
  13. I don't think you guys realize the style of music that was in Disney movies for the past 10 years or so is in fact, modern broadway style. Same composers and everything.
  14. Hmm yeah that seems like a safe bet. I really do wonder why this movie failed so hard. I guess no one really liked it.
