  1. I don't see people lining up to watch BvS in theaters again. I guess it's not worth the money to them. They're just waiting for it to come out on Blu-Ray/DVD.
  2. 50% of users either disliked it or were indifferent to it. I'd say a C is equal to being indifferent. Reading comprehension is very important.
  3. I mean the movie had 10,000+ 10s on IMDb before the film even came out so are we really using that right now? The audience speaks with its money and so far the audience has spoken...it didn't like the film. A movie that people liked will have very good legs because people will watch it again and again and again and again. BvS has terrible legs because very few people are watching it again and those who have watched it are talking about it to their friends and obviously telling them not to go see it. I don't see why this concept is very hard to understand for some.
  4. So 50% of users either didn't like it or were indifferent to it. That means 50% of users liked it or loved it. 50% is 5 out of 10. That's less than the 7 out of 10 you've been talking about.
  5. So just because people on BoT liked it that means everyone else did? We are past the point where people are looking at critics reviews and only critics reviews. The only time a person would do that at this point is to confirm or disconfirm what someone may have told them about the film. This isn't a film which very few people saw. Plenty of people saw this film and plenty of people talked about this film. And based on the BO performance of this film you can say the WOM has been mixed to even negative.
  6. Based on the fact that the legs for this movie have been terrible, it seems like less than 7 out of 10 people liked or thought the movie was ok. If 7 out of 10 people liked or thought the movie was ok, the movie wouldn't be performing like it is. People are more inclined to listen to their friend who may say a movie is a bad or good than a critic that they don't even know.
  7. Is your profile picture Tony Romo after he realizes he's never winning a Super Bowl?
  8. And you haven't made a comment without even being sure? Up until my comment and from what I read no one called it a flop. You're literally arguing with me about something so trivial and I'm not even quite sure why you've brought it up besides to start an argument. But let me go edit my comment and say "Not many people have called it a flop," just to please you.
  9. Umm I made my comment about no one calling it a flop BEFORE someone called it a flop not after...so that's the difference. Its like you were trying to call me out because I made my comment about no one calling it a flop and up until my comment no one did. So yes it makes a difference.
  10. The point is that had BvS been executed similarly to the movies you've listed, it should have made a billion dollars because it has three of the most iconic superheroes ever. Films like GOTG didn't get to a billion because the characters in them weren't well known but they were so well executed that their legs got them to their final gross. BvS had the well known characters but had poor execution hence a disappointing box office run.
  11. To be fair that is true. However it was an assumption made because many "insiders" said that's what WB wanted. Whether it's true or not we will never know but I don't think the number just came out of no where from these so called insiders...or maybe it did.
  12. Who is calling this movie a flop? No one is calling the movie a flop. However you're in denial if you don't think this movie hasn't lived up to expectations...not expectations set by us mind you but expectations set by people within the industry including WB. It's going to get $850M WW and as result it's run has been disappointing when you consider it has three of the most iconic super heroes in it, it opened to $420M WW and the amount of money used to market it. Flop it is not but I wouldn't call it a success either.
  13. Im almost sure that if BvS didn't have well Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in it we'd be talking about Tomorowland numbers. It's very clear that the movie made its money because of the hype surrounding it. It's barely going to cross $850M WW after opening at $420M WW. If you told WB that BvS opened to $420M WW they'd tell you $1B here we come. So in fact this movie has been a disappointment. Anything that doesn't reach its potential is a disappointment.
  14. If it finishes in the $780M range after this weekend, it will be hard for it to even get to $900M WW. I think $850M is where it's going to end up because of the releases that are coming out soon.
  15. Why are you bringing Mariah Carey into this? Oh right because she can help BvS Shake it off cause the loving ain't the same.
  16. Exactly. It didn't stabilize last weekend and it wasn't going to stabilize this weekend. The writing was all on the wall.
  17. Melissa McCarthy as Wonder Woman would have brought in the humor that BvS so desperately needs.
