  1. Variety: Coco 12m Wed/70m JL: 10,3m Wed/60-65m Wonder: 37m http://variety.com/2017/film/news/box-office-coco-justice-league-thanksgiving-1202621786/
  2. Just like the Fast & Furious films and other movies with a big Hispanic crowd, this most probably will do much better on the west coast. I wouldn't read too much in a sample of 78 seats, when 55 seats were filled, which means only bad seats left.
  3. Inside Out was tracking at $60-65m and ended with $93m... Coco connected with Mexicans, so lets see, what it can do, if it connects with North America and if it can score that A+ Cinemascore.
  4. It's tracking numbers for a movie with a 9,2 IMDB Score. Also, they say with a good shot at 65m+. Tells me, it's heading in the right direction recently.

  6. Yeah, good point. Also, Hispanic audiences still seem more walk up friendly.
  7. Moana does not show up in the 2 Monday updates in the Web Archive, where Hacksaw Ridge was sitting at 3%. So I would say, that Coco is doing quite well, considering it's up against a much stronger weekend compared to 2016.
  8. I seriously didn't know that. I'm sorry in that case, @Sam, I thought you were going after my theory with the comment. If so, the kid should consider a career in movie marketing.
  9. Thors story of success, so do I believe, has its origin in only a single line in the trailer, that was worth millions of Dollars. "I know him. He's a friend from work". It's a stand out line everybody seeing the trailer connected with. Whoever wrote it, should get an extra paycheck.
  10. I think that Deadline is too pessimistic with those. Orient could do 14m with a 4m Friday and DH2 could do 13m with a 3,7m Friday. Those would be solid with tht kind of competition and TG coming.
  11. Justice League might win the Weekend, but even its failing isn't the story of the weekend, as it has found another winner in "Wonder". If this opens to 30m, this will survive until the holidays and might even challenge $200m.
  12. Wonder is going to blow up over TG. Seems like Blind Side all over again, minus the Football-Theme, making it more attractive to men.
  13. Justice League is a movie, that should have done $500m and more. Discussing it opening to $105m or $150m feels kind of pointless. And I don't think Snyder is to blame, it's Warner Bros.
  14. Wonder had great Trailer-Views, especially over at facebook, hinting, that it's doing very well with women, so it's not that there weren't hints, it might do well.
  15. Why would you think so? I would guess more like Les Miserables or Into the woods around 2500 to 3000.
  16. Let's see how thursday goes, but with that drop, Bad Moms 2could be looking at a 30% drop. That's kind of a surprise.
