  1. @cayommagazine It is reported that Endless Animation is trying to focus on two films a year (either one sequel and one original or two originals) now mainly due to the rise of other animation studios in CAYOM as well as perfecting their craft. - In other news, after sending an important Hollywood executive the outline for Gateways, was deemed having not only the potential of being one of the studios best as well as having potential to top Can You Imagine despite not quite reaching it. - Endless Animation also announces it’s next original film for Y7 and Y8, the first directed by Rebecca Sugar (Can You Imagine?, Notes From The Otherspace) and written by Olivia Wilde (Booksmart) described as The Emoji Movie done right mixed with Pinocchio and Inside Out. The movie titled Hey, Eva, a story about a phoneaholic and queen bee teenager when the AI, Eva In her phone gains sentience as the two form a bond as both learn what it means to be human and a better person. The second for Y8, directed by Pixar alumni Pete Sohn (The Good Dinosaur, The Twenty One Balloons), titled Roaches which takes place 150 years after the apocalypse where roaches are the only sentient being on the planet and have evolved.
  2. Well, yes but considering Black Panther did bonkers OW but crashed leg wise, if they sell the spectacle it’ll be alright. You know I keep forgetting Avatar 2 is coming 2021. In that case, TLM would be second biggest. My bad.
  3. If audiences likely won’t give a shit about a Lion King with a majority black cast, a Genie played by Will Smith or considering how big both Black Panther and Coco where with a heavy Caucasian following mind you, or see Aladdin/Beast/and likely the TLK despite them basically being copy paste just in live action, I doubt people will care much about a black Ariel for the box office to hurt except for the racists/closeted bigots that at most will “hurt” as much as Captain Marvel did (which is very very very minuscule) in fact it may help. This will probably be the second biggest film of 2021 behind Avatar 2, unless Black Panther 2 happens that year. Now if you excuse me I got to shower myself off for defending a live action Disney remake.
  4. I’m both black and hate the majority of these live action remakes from Disney with a passion and the casting doesn’t feel forced to me.
  5. I’d pay good money to see Will Smith change different animal forms ala The Emperor’s New Groove through the movie.
  6. Hot take: Holland in MCU > Holland in Spider solos. Oh it is, the villain gives Luthor 2016/Malekith/Enchantress a run for their money for worst villain. It is dozens of dumb fun due to Hardy.
  7. Anyone surprised how good Aladdin is holding? I got to give props to it, anyone think it can get to $350M DOM?
  8. 1.) Spider Man: Into The Spider Verse 10/10 - Yes, the story has somewhat familiar beats but the characters, the writing, the action and especially with the unlimited and beautiful field of animation makes this one the best. Truly one of the greatest CBMs. 2.) Spider-Man 2 9.5/10 - This one is a classic for a reason with strong writing, drama, action and great characters. 3.) The Amazing Spider-Man 8.5/10 - Hot take but I genuinely enjoy Garfield and Stone’s chemistry and romance is arguably my favorite aspect of Spider-Man. 4.) Spider-Man 8/10 - While it doesn’t hold up much for me, Raimi’s direction as well as the characters and action help elevate the film and remind us why it was so good. 5.) Spider-Man 3 6.5/10 - Yes, there’s definitely some dumb fun and overall strength in Raimi’s direction, everything else not so much 6.) Venom 6.5/10 - This is a bad film but a very fun one nonetheless amplified by Tom Hardy’s role 7.) Spider-Man: Homecoming 6.5/10 - Don’t get me wrong it’s a good movie with likeable characters (Zendaya x Spidey is my current superhero OTP) and Tom Holland is probably my favorite Spider-Man but the film itself seems so much lacking in terms of vision and uniqueness to set it apart from the rest 8.) The Amazing Spider-Man 2 3.5/10 - Obviously trash
  9. Also Blue Sky Studios was the only logo in the trailer meaning it’s just them distributing the movie. Disney is treating the brand similarly to Marvel and Lucasfilm. Which is sort of the first major animation studio to do so since Dreamworks.
  10. I got to admit the action scenes looked pretty stylish and fun, the Pigeon scenes on the other hand, eh.
  11. @cayommagazine It is being reported that both the live action reimaginings of Brother Bear and Hercules are competing with each other for a Holiday Y6 release date.
  12. I wish I could tell you this is doing $200M DOM, I wish I could but for other studios the Disney age is no fairytale world.
  13. Compared to Ratatouille I’d argue both Avatar and Endgame are corporate trash.
  14. Same. I always thought the idea of TS4 doing more than Dory and I2 rather preposterous prior to presales as Dory and I2 were much more wanted/waited for sequels, hell the latter had a family film drought for 6 months. TS4 was unwanted at first especially after 3’s perfect ending and the fact 3 was 9 years ago. Just because a franchise is more popular doesn’t mean it’ll jump higher, otherwise I2 would be smaller than Dory.
  15. @cayommagazine Two new songs will be written for Hercules. One being a villain song for Hades (Robert Downey Jr) titled Make A Deal and the other a romantic duet between Hercules (Liam Hemsworth) and Megara (Rachel Bloom) titled What’s With My Heart.
  16. Since both Aladdin and Alice are looking more or less about the same and Alice came 3 months after Avatar compared to the 4 weeks after Endgame for Aladdin. Though to be fair the competition is much less apt for Avatar than Endgame
  17. Anyone know a Brazilian actress from 18-25? Also a good actress to play Jinx (Teen Titans)?
