  1. @cayommagazine The plot and date for Should You Imagine has leaked: “Three years after the events of Can You Imagine?, the Anderson family has improved, but an older Ethan finds himself at a crossroads on growing up as an adolescent and debated distancing himself from art and parents in order to fit in as well as earn the affections of his lifelong friend, Sasha, whose popularity has risen. To make matters worse, Ethan’s school rival and polar opposite, the popular and rebellious Tiana has been fostered by his family causing Ethan to feel jealous. During a family outing, the Anderson family has been whisked away into Imagiland once again, on a quest to not only repair their relationship but potentially save imagination as a whole” June 17th, Y7
  2. 2020 might be weaker box office wise but I’m excited at all these new potential franchises and blockbusters opening is the best place for it to break out.
  3. Glad to see someone else on the Onward winning 2020 train.
  4. Agreed although slightly lower OW. It benefits from being the first big film of 2020. Peter Rabbit 2 and Call Of The Wild and Sonic will all kill each other as they compete for families, and BOP I’m thinking will be more in the Winter Soldier numbers vs CM numbers. If the siblings and family theme hit it home, I can see it pulling a Frozen but lower DOM ($375M) and WW ($1.15B). Not to mention the Holland-Pratt star power will help it.
  5. Love it already, if this strikes a chord, I think it can become the biggest film of 2020.
  6. The holiday season seems really lacking with no obvious 4 quadrant film: - West Side Story seems like it could do $200M+ DOM - Cruella would be lucky to do $150M DOM - Croods 2 has a good chance to go sub $100M DOM as does Coming 2 America WB should move GVK especially with KoTM looking soft to Christmas 2020. They have BOP Q1 so they don’t have much worries.
  7. @cayommagazine Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Spark: Beyond The Sky) to direct StoneFlight for Endless Animation.
  8. @cookie Does Gizmoduck exist in the Ducktales Cinematic Universe?
  9. Power Girl Green Arrow Martin Manhunter Bumblebee
  10. Godzilla: King Of The Monsters North Shore Cinema Mequon, WI 5/30/19 4:00 - 28/301 - UltraScreen 7:15 - 118/301 - UltraScreen 8:15 - 41/98 10:30 - /301- UltraScreen
  11. I agree with Monsters University being good but half of DWA library is better than MU imho. I do agree we shouldn't count out Onward because unless the film is part of Cars or facing story problems, it's should be as good as other Pixar films.
  12. Best Actor Henrie? Also @A Panda of Ice and Fire is using Rodriguez Y6. Nah, the holiday season.
  13. Agreed but I do think that MU was a film no one wanted in the first place. It all depends on if Scanlon nails it which I don’t think is impossible.
  14. To be fair, Malecifent was during a time the remakes were rarer and arguably had more appeal than Cruella does. The highest I see for it is Mary Poppins Returns numbers. Not all Disney remakes are going to be The Jungle Book or Beauty and The Beast.
  15. Yes it is. It moved to Sing 2’s old spot. I get that but I imagine West Side Story, likely being the biggest in the holidays. will take up the awards buzz, have the musical power and more of the female demographic Cruella is banking on.
  16. 2020 is probably the most exciting since 2016 to be honest for animation, besides I can see box office really booming for it unlike these past few years. Onward, Docter’s film and potentially the WDAS film can cross the $300M mark with a lot of potential breakouts.
  17. On the contrary I don’t see Cruella going higher than Mary Poppins Returns. While Croods 2 may crawl towards $100M DOM, November is stacked with family competition, Lin Manuel Miranda/Sony musical Vivo, Paramount’s Clifford, and Disney’s own animated film not to mention it seems Fox’s Ron Gone Wrong is staying. Besides I don’t think kids care enough about 101 Dalmatians anyways or at least not as much as Dumbo or Christopher Robin.
  18. If Onward blows up tonight and TS4 opens I2 big ($175M-$180M OW), I can see it winning 2020 both domestic and worldwide not just for Disney but maybe the year, provided both WW1984 and Fast 9 see decreases.
  19. @cayommagazine Brother Bear may be coming Y6 after all...
  20. Ranking of Disney live action remakes: Great: 1.) Pete’s Dragon 2.) Cinderella 3.) The Jungle Book 4.) Christopher Robin Good: 5.) Mary Poppins Returns 6.) Aladdin Pure shite: 7.) Maleficent 8.) Alice 2 9.) Alice 1 10.) BATB
