I can see $400M DOM especially of how weak the summer of 2020 looks.

Is it just me or have some fanboys (MCU, DCEU, Star Wars, Pokémon etc, there’s no real difference between behavior than what they stan for) have been slowly draining my enjoyment for tracking box office as well as blockbusters.

Both Black Widow and Eternals are coming out in fact the former is starting production. I still think Lion King will be big because of nostalgia, the only problem is the amount of cash families have the share (again with idk $150M for Pikachu, $250M for Aladdin, Pets 2 does $300M, and TS4 does $350M, that’s $1B dollars spend of family entertainment). Also no reason to see why they won’t release The Little Mermaid or why it won’t be big. Aladdin will likely underperform domestically due to Disney’s greed when to be honest a 2020 release would’ve been better than a competitive summer. The main problem for these remakes is eventually nostalgia runs out, Pixar probably would be more against live action remakes of their films and the only 00s film that can drum up some nostalgia is Lilo and Stitch, otherwise they have to wait until the 2030s.

Still the tracking if for $80M four day is surprisingly low and something that seems rather impossible. I can’t see this doing under $200M DOM.

Not to mention in this age where the animation field has become highly competitive, why see that when you have Netflix or want for better options for your family in the summer (Pikachu, Aladdin, Pets 2, TS4)

North Shore is pissing me off. Pikachu has 11 on 4 pm Thursday and 16 or so 6:45 pm Thursday. Now it has 2 sold for the Thursday at 4, and 23 for the Thursday at 6:45 pm. Can anyone who tracked movies at the theater explain to me what’s happening?

Consider Uglydolls started at 4:00 pm, then some ugly previews and will go sub $10M. Long Shot is very solid, could pull of mid teens and if audiences like it, perhaps it can legs it to $60M-$70M. Intruder should also do decent.

To be honest, the whole schedule would be a clusterfuck. If had a say, I’d move Pets 2 to November as it and Frozen II could easily coexist, Pikachu and Lego 2 would switch spots as Lego 2 was doomed either way.
