  1. These Medusa numbers have me confident that @Blankments/EKG Carmen’s Voyage is not only topping the year for animation but maybe hitting $900M-$1B
  2. These, besides legs won’t be too kind as 2nd weekend is post MDay and third weekend it faces Pets 2.
  3. Speaking of, I’m going to track Uglydolls as well cause again my database is lacking. Tomorrow will be: PikaPika John Wick 3 Aladdin Uglydolls
  4. Aladdin was more TLK/JB for me and BATB was definitely a Disney Princess film as a kid.
  5. Cinderella seems to late imho as that was 2015, anything before 2017 makes things real wonky.
  6. BATB does has a more female fan base as well as the Emma Watson fans.
  7. Same here. I need to up my theaters database for family films as I’m lacking in comparisons. My personal goals for Pikachu and Aladdin are to run around 75%-100% Of DM3 tomorrow and Aladdin I think I2 would be a great comp (PG movie, older skewed)
  8. Also decent start for Aladdin at 6 tickets so far, it’s goal should be idk like 20-25 tickets by the end of the day.
  9. Final got some comparisons for the Endgame killer: At North Shore, Pikachu (17) is running about 29.17% behind Despicable M3 (24) ($51.28M), 49% behind Venom (33) ($41.2M) and 78.5% (79) behind I2 ($38.94M). Now, before we start panicking, I want to say that DM3, Venom and I2 are about 1-2 days ahead, either or I’m not satisfied.
  10. Aladdin has two shows at North Shore Cinema and is confirmed for Ultrascreen. Small chance PikaPika gets it as well as Endgame doesn't have Ultrascreen up at night, so the two may be sharing.
  11. As much as I dislike the concept of the movie being remade, I am digging Smith Genie a quite a lot, despite the fact a CGI Genie has way less creativity shapeshifting and arguably more energy and superior in traditional animation form. I will start the tracking at my theaters for this tomorrow.
  12. @cayommagazine Amy Sedaris joins the cast of The Lonely Haunts Club: Dance of the Dead as Lucy, a fluffy talking house-cat who happens to be a demon from Hell.
  13. It did better than Studio Ghibli’s films. The only problem is serious animation doesn’t fare well OS as comedic counterparts, I mean look at To The Moon.
  14. Looking at some animated films right now, I think he used the same as Coco but I would have suspected more in the Tangled/Frozen range of a split. . @Rorschach feel free to entertain my theory but I think the reason why it did so well OS was probably a breakout in Japan (~$150M?) as they love animated musicals and probably breakout everywhere else due to the Endless Animation brand and dying lack of animated musicals on CAYOM right.
  15. My guess is Kung Fu Panda or The Croods as both had high 60s for the OS share.
  16. I sort of agree. To be honest, I always expected Sylvarius to do around this or Dragon 1/Brave OS as it’s more serious. I understand Splatoon is very cartoony, so it might have done well OS ala DM1/IA and looking back OS wise KFP/Croods are fair for it, but I’m sort of confused at Medusa to be honest. Don’t get me wrong I like the result, but I don’t get what film was used for that one.
  17. @Blankments I’m thisclose to making a DC Crisis on Multiple Earths movie
  18. @cayommagazine Tom Hardy and Ana De Armas sign on for The Lonely Haunts Club: Dance of the Dead. The former is described as a strict and no nonsense teacher with some dark secrets and the latter is being reserved for the sequel but will appear in a small role in the first.
  19. Oh. Makes sense. It’ll likely move anyways but if the other move you have planning happens, I’d imagine Blankments would have much more worries.

  21. @cayommagazine The Lonely Haunts Club: Dance of The Dead From the studio who bought you Blue and Gold and the minds behind Annabelle: Creation and Gravity Falls comes an all new franchise for Endless Entertainment. Alex Hirsch will direct the project as David F Samberg with help write and produce Described as a mix of Men and Black and Ghostbusters in high school, the story is about Tiana (Yara Shahidi), a popular and kind hearted high school junior finds out she suddenly has the ability to see and communicate with spirits as well as magical abilities, and is thrusted into a world where it turns of some of nerdy classmates are part of a paranormal task force known as ARF (Apparation Retrieval Force) (other names like PISS (Paranormal Investigation and Security Squadron) were considered but no one could take the name seriously). Led by Xavier Woods (Harrison Ford), a human-vampire-sorcerer hybrid and the oldest protector of humanity. As Tiana adjusts to her new life and clashing with her fellow agents, they must work together to stop Duke Bloodstone (Daniel Radcliffe), a 170 year old dark sorcerer from obtaining the Soul Key to obtain power over life and death as well as raise an army of the dead, meaning... our heroes may not make it to this year’s Harvest Dance or parties with underage drinking.... also the end of the world but who cares” The ensemble cast features: Our other ARF agents and: • Finn Wolfhard as Barry Brookshire, a know it all and rather annoying freshman who happens to be one of the smartest minds in the world and paranormal expert • Thomasin McKenzie as Wendy Dorr, a goth girl senior with a love for the macabre who happens to be the Rambo/Lara Croft of mythical monster hunting and expeditions • Ned Batalon as Freddy Zhang, a wannabe hypeman who desire to be on the top of the social food chain... who happens to be part werewolf, so his night plans are pretty full. • Genesis Rodriguez as Moon, the energetic scientist behind some of the gadgets and gizmos ARF agents use. Bad guys: • Daniel Radcliffe as Duke Bloodstone, angry evil sorcerer? Check. Rage against humanity for his imprisonment? Check. • Brian Tyree Henry as Shard, a hulking gargoyle made of stone and Duke’s lieutenant • Marsai Martin as Whitney, a ghost majordomo who is has been alive for centuries The rating will be PG-13 but they’ll definitely be pushing the rating with an $100M+ budget. Haunts Club will arrive in theaters, Easter Y6.
