  2. It all depends on how much burnout the spin-offs have caused.
  3. This makes me sad but it was never a lock to do too much over or even the same as Lego Batman, and likely evitable thanks to the spin-offs burning off demand, WB should’ve done Lego 2 first. Luckily the lack of family friendly films as well as big animation (aside from Spider Verse) will help, however if it gets negative reviews I wouldn’t be surprised at sub $100M DOM.
  4. Sorry to hear that but real life always comes first, hopefully you can still participate in Part 2 with reviews and what not. Nonetheless I wish you the best in both the move, the new job and in game.
  5. Considering moving Medusa to Valentine's Day Weekend and giving Artifacts the March date as it'd be so much potential for it as it's about loving yourself with a decent amount of romance. Then again, both Bartimaeus 2 and Secret Saturday's are more of a threat.
  6. @cayommagazine Idris Elba, Leitita Wright, Emily Blunt, and Julie Andrews join the main cast of Green Lantern Corps: Rise Of The Manhunters as a new cast list will be live tomorrow.
  7. Good to see I started the Amazon Prime screening trend.
  8. @Xillix Splatoon - (CG Animation/Comedy/Action) - 6/4/Y5 - Directed by Craig McCracken and Rodney Rothman has replaced Inspector Gadget and the pre load info is in the same page on the submission at the same spot it was on.
  9. @cayommagazine Endless Entertainment and Aesir Pictures to team up on Splatoon You heard it here first folks, seems like Endless Entertainment will revive almost any cancelled animated project. However, this will be a team up with up and rising studios; Horizon Entertainment. When Cookies Pictures Animation dropped the rights to Splatoon, Xavier B Irving wanted the project claiming “Splatoon would be the perfect piece de restistance for Endless Animation as the two go hand and hand, offering fun entertainment for all ages.”, however Horizon Entertainment grabbed the rights the last second before Endless Entertainment could but Irving refused to give up and worked out a deal with Horizon to do a coproduction. This isn’t Endless Entertainment first coproduction as the Golden Globe nominated High School Musical 4: Reunion was done with Blankments Productions as the Studios have big plans to continue the franchise. Oscar winning reimagining of The Emperor’s New Groove, Kingdom of The Sun recieved some very helpful post production work with Cookie Pictures and help produce it. Splatoon will be a computer animated film much like it was at Cookie Pictures Animation, with a budget around $80M-$90M, in line with some of Endless Animation’s GameVerse films but unlike those films or other Endless Animation films, they won’t be animated by Sony Pictures Imageworks or Endless Animation but the movie is being animated by Tall Tales Animation, Horizon Entertainment’s in-house animation division. Endless Entertainment will handle domestic distribution while Aesir Pictures will handle international distribution. Splatoon is confirmed to be Tall Tales Animation film though and is unsure by both studios if it’ll fall under the Endless Animation umbrella, but both LeFauve and McKay have sent in notes for advice. Nintendo like Endless Animation’s upcoming Super Mario Bros will help provide financing and receive a production credit. The film will be directed by TV animation veteran Craig McCracken (The Powerpuff Girls, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, and Wander over Yander) and Rodney Rothman (Spider-Man: Into The Spider Verse), as the two will be writing the script with Tom Wheeler (Puss In Boots). The film will be produced by Genndy Tartakovsky (Can You Imagine?) and Mark Dindal (the Oscar Winning Scrooge McDuck franchise) as both Meg LeFauve (Can You Imagine?, Medusa) and Chris McKay (Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive) will executive produce. Daniel Permetton (Spider-Man: Into The Spider Verse, Ocean’s (8) will score The main cast composed of: Justice Smith Hailee Steinfeld Ariana Grande Michael Keaton Ice Cube Kristen Schaal Charlie Day Dacre Montgomery and Angela Bassett The plot is similar to both the game and the unused plot of Cookie Pictures Animation’s version: “Blue (Justice Smith) is a young Inkling, striving for the best and very very much a Type A personality, living in Inkotopolis, who loves doing street art to de stress, also dreams of being a soldier who desires to help to end the oppressive Octorian regime despite his lack of athletic skills, heads out to locate a great Zapfish that will restore electricity to his neighborhood after the cunning yet ever so charming DJ Octavio (Ice Cube) strips the neighborhood of electricity in response to resistance. Blue ends up being recruited by Captain Cuttlefish (Michael Keaton), a decorated war hero in a plot devised by him to topple Octavio’s rule once and far all, with the help of two agents who happened to be the alter egos of the popular pop duo; the Squid Sisters, Callie (Hailee Steinfeld) and Marie (Ariana Grande). As personalities and egos clashes, the three must learn to get along if they want to stop the Octorians and restore peace.” The project will take Inspector Gadget’s spot and release June 4th, Y5 at the lucrative post Memorial Day weekend.
  10. Green Lantern Corps: Rise Of The Manhunters is done at 16,511 words and a new casting update will be tonight. @cookie and @Spagspiria I’ll send it to you tonight.
  11. Coco had Wonder, Ferdinand and The Greatest Showman and The Star to a lesser extent and Daddy’s Home 2 and Jumanji both of which seem more family skewing than either JL or Thor Ragnarok.
  12. I believe Movieman meant direct competition as in Animated or family films (specifically PG rated ones)
  13. @Xillix I change the title for two of my films: Green Lantern Corps: Rise Of The Manhunters and Artifacts: Zephyr’s Crest. Also the former has a Theater count of 4,295.
  14. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/amp/behind-screen/paramount-animation-chief-says-her-team-wont-be-working-john-lasseter-at-skydance-1176111?__twitter_impression=true Good for Paramount Animation deciding not to work with Skydance.
  15. Debating on whether or not to keep Andrew Stanton as the director of Green Lantern Corps and bring him back (God willing y’all like it) for the sequel as the film has evolved into more of a buddy cop space movie than the original space epic I had planned.
  16. @cayommagazine @endlessentertainment @horizonentertainment Tomorrow. Something big splats this way.
  17. Okay with only the first act and 1/2 of the second act done (a decent sized chunk of the second act as well as the still being written third act), GLC Hunted is at 9,327 words. I can see a word count from 12K-18K words depending on how everything adds up. As of 1/14, it’s now at 11,006 words, we’re looking at the very least a 13K film, but depending on how much effort I put in the rest of the second act, this may be my first 20K film. 1/15, it’s now at 14,227 words, this will finish around 16K-18K words making it my longest film ever.
  18. I mean either way I don’t think Black Widow is making that much more compared to say Ant Man 1/2.
  19. @cayommagazine Endless Entertainment and Endless Animation have major plans for two new Nintendo properties they’ve acquired. Endless Entertainment is planning on creating an F-Zero film as Endless Animation will plan on making Splatoon. It is unknown when each movie is coming out but the latter is in active development.
  20. Aside from some rewrites today, GLC is at 5,675 (for the first act) words and I still think the first act needs more beef. Also @cookie I’m sorry to hear about Saturday and hope everything is okay.
