@cayommagazine Endless Entertainment is considering opening a second animation studio operated by Genndy Tartakovsky and Meg LeFauve in charge, operating as a Pixar to Endless Animation’s WDAS, but rather focusing mainly on traditionally animated movies.

@cayommagazine Lucas Hedges, Katherine Langford and Woody Harrelson join the cast of Jordan Peele’s formerly untitled social thriller now titled: Smells Like School Spirit. Yara Shihidi is still the main lead and the project arrives in theaters Easter Y5.

Same not to mention animated movies based on popular superhero films especially ones with a lot of cartoon/game/DTV ones (Lego Batman, TTG) (not to mention Miles is a prominent character in tje past two Spiderman cartoons and the Spiderverse as well) tend to less compared to the original ones or ones based on more obscure characters (Incredibles, Big Hero 6, likely Super Pets)

Spider Verse WW is more likely to be half of Panther DOM than over it. Which would still be excellent numbers.

Yes but no. I doubt films like Lego Movie, Zootopia or even Inside Out would have done as well with rave reviews but I doubt it’ll effect Spidey for the better mainly due to tough competition and people were more likely than not expecting good reviews. IMHO the animation style will be what makes or breaks this box office wise.

I can see a scenario where Spider-Verse, Aquaman, Poppins and Bumblebee all breakout due to the lack of mega blockbusters since June. Say... Poppins: $75M (five day)/$450M Aquaman: $100M/$400M Spider-Verse: $40M/$160M Bumblebee: $35M/$150M But that’s very optimistic As much as I’d love for this to breakout I’m not to sure, Poppins, Aquaman and Bumblebee will all be tough competition as they compete with Spidey’s main audience not to mention the dividing animation style.

Daron Nefcy then steps on stage and talks about The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl. Nefcy said that the movie is probably one of the most ambitious films at Endless Animation and that unlike her last film Aera Rising won’t be turned into a Netflix series (causing the audience) to laugh. Nefcy is excited to bring the movie to the screen as Squirrel Girl is pretty much a wide canvas they can mold and there’s a bit of her in all of us. Nefcy explains the plot is basically Squirrel Girl is like any other hero but what separates her is her undying optimism as well as her uncanny ability to beat villains she should statistically have no chance against but doesn’t get the recognition, respect or love she wants as well as being largely overlooked by her comrades and public that she’s still unpopular for her weird quirks and recklessness. However when an evil yet powerful new villain, The Destroyer, played by the late Stan Lee, (who recorded a large majority of audio before his passing and the film was supposed to be his first major film role) (A picture of The Destroyer is shown who humorously is a mix of both popular Marvel villains like Thanos and Green Goblin but also has noticeable hints of villains from other popular CAYOM franchise like Zarkon from Voltron noting the fur and cat like features and Packer from The Scavenger Wars as his black veins are shown), as part of a plan for world domination has been kidnapping heroes, it is up to Squirrel Girl to save her fellow heroes with the help of her two squirrel best friends/sidekicks; Tippy Toe, a hyperactive squirrel with lots of quips to spare, and Monkey Joe, a panicky yet very wise squirrel (Nefcy says Zazu and Timon were inspirations) along with her reluctant roommate Dana who has no powers what so ever. Nefcy says that as previously confirmed Endless Animation’s award winning Worldmeander software (which combines state of the art computer animation along with the expressiveness of hand drawn animation, the software was previously used for Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive) will be used to animate the film but the movie will mimic the style of Sony Animation’s Spider-Man: Into The Spider Verse comic book like aesthetic as well as The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl’s cartoony like comics. Nefcy says that like how Can You Imagine tackled self esteem problems as well as mid life crisis, Squirrel Girl aims to tackle anxiety and depression. Nefcy says the point of the movie is for the younger audience having to learn to love yourself and not the opinions of other. Squirrel Girl’s humor is also said to be inspired by The Lego Batman Movie, Spider-Man: Into The Spider Verse and Bounty Hamster, being self referential at times, poking fun of recent animated movie trends as well as some of the biggest blockbusters in CAYOM. A trailer for the movie is expected to drop later this week as well as some additional footage.

I was really considering a Jordan/Stewart film but I have an idea to start up from the beginning and to be honest I want to do something with the Sinestro/Jordan relationship mainly because I like those two, however I did considered swapping out Jordan with Stewart and doing some recon but decided against it.
