  1. It depends, if the adaptation of comic book character is unknown like say Big Hero 6, or original superheroes like The Incredibles and is animated it can translate well overseas.
  2. Surprisingly huge for Lego 2 and surprisingly low for What Men Want
  3. Let me rephrase, I do expect some frontloadedness OW due to the brand of Spider-Man and reports that it’s skewing older, but it’s legs will even out due to more families coming out over the holidays thanks to there being more kids out.
  4. Planning to see Spider-Verse Monday after my last in class final as a reward for myself. I’m extremely hyped.
  5. It’s also an older skewing animated movie moreso than Ralph 2, Grinch or even Lego Batman. It may be closer to Incredibles 2 in terms of frontloadedness. Besides December is all about legs so the OW may be deflated in exchange. With a Ferdinand/Sing (not the best comps I know) like multiple with a $25M OW gives it $193M DOM
  6. I do feel it’ll skew more older than most family films especially with December being a factor. Using comparisons for Incredibles 2, previews to OW ratio, Spidey would be around $34.56M. Using Panther or Venom, Spidey would be around $28M.
  7. Highs 30-low 40 seem likely for the webheads. Fingers crossed for $50M.

  9. Not surprised it’s bombing OS, Lord/Miller movies don’t do well over there
  10. Now this is one of my top 10 most anticipated films for 2019. The trailer will be a nice Christmas gift.
  11. I haven’t seen the original Mary Poppins, but am somewhat excited for the sequel even though most of Disney’s retelling are hot garbage. I plan to see the first one after finals before I watch Returns. For those who have saw, in terms of Disney remakes is it more of TJB/Cinderella/Pete’s Dragon where it’s good, or pure shit like BATB and the rest of them.
  12. Decided today, during a chase scene in The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, I’m playing a K-Pop song.
  13. Hyped to see another original Pixar film. I feel if they nail it, it may be a film around Up/IO numbers.
  14. The PG-13 animated SkyRiders has humans vs giant flying whale like beasts.
  15. @cayommagazine Endless Entertainment Event Y5 will be revitalized and coming back December 21st-23rd. There won’t be much footage apart from a few films but there’ll be tons of announcements for Y5 and beyond (I’m still doing it but it’s much more low key than last year as I don’t have much footage).
  16. But first he’ll steal the posters in the theater and replace them with his correct way. Not to mention angry letters at Paramount.
  17. Gotta say I’m excited to write School Spirit as it is a passion project for me and my second attempt at Best Picture (CYI? was my first although to be honest I was surprised it was nominated)
  18. Here’s my order: The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Gigantic Untitled Andrew Stanton project @cookie @Spagspiria you’ll get a spoonful sometime next weekend Valkyries vs Galaxy Smells Like School Spirit Dragon Ball Inspector Gadget/Brother Bear/Brookshire Lost Earth (this will be last as if I got into it first I know for a fact I won’t get anything else done) The top five I am to get done by end of January so if my classes are too much I still have a decent amount finished and can finish some smaller films.
  19. After finals I think Squirrel Girl will likely be the first project finished. It’ll likely be 10K words though.
