I considered Valentines Day for Larrikins but opted out for two reasons. 1.) The 29th offers me longer legs as for obvious reasons 2.) I’d have to potentially compete with mothers for Rock N Roll and Perfect Match and dealing with Scavvies is also a problem.

@cayommagazine Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us) to direct an untitled satirical horror comedy for Infinite Studios based on an idea from Endless Entertainment’s CEO, Xavier B. Irving who came up with the story idea and will produce the film. The film is about an African American teenage reporter investigating the most racist high school in America to find everything isn’t as it seems and potentially darker secrets that one could possibly imagine. The film will be released Y6.

SLOP2 also has the short end as it opens the same day as an X-Men movie that can take some families. It and Aladdin have it the worst in my opinion.

It’s not impossible. No thought Solo would do $210M DOM. Both are in a very competitive summer for families more-so than 2017 or 2018.

Although it should be noted Uglydolls opens the same week Pikachu does (I doubt it’ll do more than $15M OW and that’s generous) I agree Pikachu will be the first benefit as it’s first, not to mention trailer views even though I obviously know aren’t the end all be all of films, especially for family films, the ones with huge views tend to best (I2 is a major example of that) I’ve been saying the second part for months now. The fact that the latter two’s views are somewhat low and come within two weeks with in one another will only hurt everyone. And with Lion King looming both need the most effective marketing as well as time but thanks to the schedule in 2019, it’s impossible for everyone. Hell even January-March is stacked, Kid King opens January 22nd, Lego 2 is February 8th, Dragon 3 is February 22nd, Wonder Park is March 15th and Dumbo is March 29th. Everyone imho will hurt somewhat 2019 due to how packed the schedule is. Also in terms of competition, Dark Phoenix (although I doubt it’ll go over $150M DOM) opens the same day as Pets 2 and will take some families.

Squirrel Girl does have a lot of non Squirrel Girl related Marvel characters in the film but they’re almost all smaller characters who haven’t been a film except for a few. Only one character is a problem to be honest.

@Blankments Originally Blue and Gold was supposed to be the start of my own DC Universe (A YA superhero/supervillain film about the HIVE Academy was supposed to be next (I still have a post credit scene for it) with Fire, Ice, Jinx and two more heroes as the main five, Supergirl and Green Arrow (Speedy was supposed to have a major role) films leading to a Young Justice crossover with Blue and Gold. I also considered grabbing the rights for The Flash, Green Lantern and I believe Lobo) but I liked Blue and Gold being in it’s own universe with certain cameos here and there so I abandoned plans. However Blue and Gold I have plans up to 5 films. I had plans for a small budgeted animated PG-13 Young Justice film series but I doubt I’ll do it, so I can give you rights to that.
