  1. Going to probably use this song in Kingdom of The Sun along with Snuff Out The Light. Debating on whether or not to include Perfect World from the original.
  2. Still Homecoming faced 3 major wide releases and lost IMAX and PLFs on it’s third weekend, sure the competition is tougher but it has Fourth of July weekdays to make up.
  3. Still, it’s still behind Homecoming and Homecoming is the easiest comparison for films aiming at $100M+ OW to cross.
  4. North Shore Cinema update Ant Man and The Wasp is running 48.5% behind Justice League ($47.9M) and 30% behind Homecoming ($82.3M). If we use Ultrascreen only for Justice League it is at $62.8M OW. Not going to lie, this isn’t looking the best right now, I should have a better idea Tuesday but I don’t like how far behind it is compared to Justice League and especially Homecoming as it was the most backloaded. My range is for $70M-$90M OW. Not sold on $100M unless sales pick up Tuesday. Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation is running 1000% ahead of Wrinkle ($350M OW), 150% ahead of Coco ($125M OW), 58% behind DM3 ($31.2M OW) and 33% behind The Star ($6.5M OW). These are not the best comparisons obviously but some of them are hilarious. The best one is probably DM3, which is a good start.
  5. @cayommagazine Hugh Jackman, David Tennant, Kathryn Newton, and Hannibal Buress to star in Blue and Gold.
  6. Attached to Codename: Kids Next Door and One Piece —————————————————————— We open in a traditional high school and see a bored Jaime Reyes (Jake T Austin) sitting down watching the clock, we see someone throw a paper ball at him which he catches in mid air, and the camera turns around to reveal Michael Carter (Asa Butterfield) waving at Jaime, much to his shock. We then cut to the duo in the hallway having a chat. Jaime: Why are you here? Michael: To relieve high school and save your butt (ass for those who have the One Piece showings). We then cut to the forest where we see Blue Beetle (Jaime’s new superhero identity) and Booster Gold (Michael) fighting Black Beetle (Michelle Rodriguez). Jaime: I thought this was all a dream. Michael: Well, you did fly to school. We see Jaime struggling with his new power flying clumsy crashing into the school. Jaime: You were stalking me?! Michael: There’s a hole in the boys bathroom upstairs. Endless Entertainment DC Entertainment Michael: I am from the future, and was sent here by a short guy with silky robes to help maintain our timelines and help you be the greatest hero ever. We cut to Michael meeting The Timekeeper (Kevin Hart) for the first time. Jaime: And the woman in the suit that is eerily similar to mine. We cut to Black Beetle meeting with Maxwell Lord (Jay Baruchel) in his lavish office. Michael: A terminator esque girl who wants you dead. Jaime: And The bug thing on my back? We see The Scarab latch onto Jaime turning him into Blue Beetle. Michael: Your new superhero identity. From The Studio that bought you Treasure Planet and Howling Commandos We cut to the city as a T-Rex, Pterodactyls, and a pack of raptors chase Blue Beetle and Booster Gold through the streets. We then cut to Doctor Polaris using his metal kinetic abilities to attempt to ensnare the two heroes. And the director behind Ant Man and The Wasp and Street Sharks We see Black Beetle staring down both heroes on the beach. Black Beetle: I’ll destroy everything and everyone you love and nothing can stop me. We cut through various scenes. Booster Gold escape OMACs, Michael meeting with his mother on life support (Michelle Pfeiffer), Blue Beetle saving Booster Gold from falling, Blue Beetle and Booster Gold fighting Black Beetle on top of a skyscraper, and finally Jaime and Michael at Jaime’s house. Jaime: You may not be the best protector but you’re still my best friend. Jaime and Michael sharing a fist bump. Blue and Gold We cut to Jaime and Michael at a burger like restaurant as they hear an explosion. Jaime: What was that? Michael: Trouble. And it has our names on it. Jaime: What? Michael: Sorry, I was trying to do a cool superhero phrase, quickly let’s change. We cut to the back alley where the two are hilariously trying to change in time to rush and stop the villain. Michael: Oh, Damn (Nuts if you get the Codename: KND version)! I tore my supersuit. August 7th Y4 in 3D, Dolby Cinema and IMAX
  7. As someone who know how fucking cold it can get in Wisconsin (eh, @DAR), I’d take the cold over the heat any day, I am okay with temperatures under 90 degrees.
  8. I bet 50 points to 2 people that Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation opens over $45M OW. I bet 50 points to one person that Mamma Mia! Here we go Again opens over $45M OW.
  9. The only real reason why I didn’t go higher is because how much action/male 25+ movies are in July-August. We start with Crysis, then Aera, then Mars and after OPM it’s Town and then BAG.
  10. Same for Blue and Gold. However I wonder how a sequel would work.
  11. Kind of want to move Blue and Gold away from it and Mars but I got nowhere to go so I’ll stay.
  12. Y5 I can see a lot of films over $300M+: Spark: Euphoria Voltron 4 Project Sun God Atlantis Pokemon 3 Scavenger Wars II Skylanders Kingdom Of The Sun Land Before Time Episilion Two Lonely Bounty Hamsters and the list will continue
  13. Should we add Hiccup’s stuff as well as he may not get back for a while?
  14. To add on, Alex Spark plays a teen witch with a rivalry with Finn Wolfhard @Spagheditary
  15. Mainly it’s the teen audience I’m concerned about and it is darker than Voltron or Spark with less families. Then again it could increase as well. I can see either or.
  16. I’m thinking $200M-$270M, odds are it’ll be fantastic but I can’t shake that LEGO Batman feeling. Then again, they’re not dozens of Aera DTV movies in this AU.
  17. Thought I put it in, oh well, CTE is 3rd place at $160M (4 day)/$420M and Aera is out of the top 10.
  18. That series finale factor will help it though I do wonder if the acclaimed R rating will hurt.
  19. John Carter is based on your previous big originals and adaptations and Spark 1. TaleSpin should be the biggest animated film of the year unless Aera (which I have a Lego Batman feeling from) or ReBoot 2.0 surprises. Can You Imagine has a small chance but naw.
