Reviews aren’t raves like the 1st one. However to see this film come together after everything that happened is great to see. However Marvel needs to stop with all this set up stuff in the movies now for down the line, it is becoming tiresome now with so many more projects a year. Also that Robbie Collin review from the Telegraph stands out like a sore thumb on Metacritic lol. Does he really think the film is that bad?

Scott always has something interesting to say. I think he brings up a good point with ‘coping with a non-fiction tragedy’, even though he sort of frames it in a negative way. They literally lost the headline star of the movie and a close friend. Making that film without him was always going to be difficult.

I think the Rock needs to test himself out of his comfort zone. I seen an interesting thing about someone comparing The Rock to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Both have about the same level of acting ability imo but when comparing movies, the Rock has no films like Terminator, Predator or Total Recall. He needs to change it up if he wants people to take him a bit more seriously.

Honestly the score could be worse so that’s a positive. The rotten tomatoes score will fluctuate a lot though as there is still just 52 reviews. The problem is usually with the first batch of reviews it tends to lean more positively. We’ll see what happens. I do think this movie needed a strong start with reviews though to give it a bit of a bump.

Thor and Strange had the same review embargo. Same for all the tv shows I believe. Reviews for Thor and Dr Strange are not even that bad. Neither are rotten, it seems they were more disappointments with fans than anything. It seems Eternals made them change their review embargo. They released early and the reviews did not help that film at all. If anything the only thing that worries me is that runtime. 160 minutes can be a slog unless the film really delivers. We’ll see what happens anyway.

The first Black Panther was really a lightning in a bottle sort of thing. It’s hard to recreate something like that especially when the lead actor has passed away tragically. I think the film will still do well whether a positive or negative reaction. However I’m not expecting the same level of success.
