  1. Yeah I agree. I just feel with phase 1, 2 and 3 all ended with these events in Avengers movies. Now with phase 4 and 5, the phases are building to nothing. Maybe just a new way of doing things but it’s hard to stay interested.
  2. Reviews aren’t raves like the 1st one. However to see this film come together after everything that happened is great to see. However Marvel needs to stop with all this set up stuff in the movies now for down the line, it is becoming tiresome now with so many more projects a year. Also that Robbie Collin review from the Telegraph stands out like a sore thumb on Metacritic lol. Does he really think the film is that bad?
  3. Scott always has something interesting to say. I think he brings up a good point with ‘coping with a non-fiction tragedy’, even though he sort of frames it in a negative way. They literally lost the headline star of the movie and a close friend. Making that film without him was always going to be difficult.
  4. Comparing it to Thor Love and Thunder doesn’t make sense to me here. Maybe visually but Peyton Reed won’t go full Taika with the humour.
  5. What is happening here? I should have said nothing lol. I just didn’t think people give a shit about the audience score on Rotten Tomatoes but god was I wrong.
  6. Black Adam budget being 200m seems accurate. Like even though I didn’t think the film was good, it look’s expensive. Also the marketing for this move has been top notch, it’s everywhere. Definitely not cheap either.
  7. Yeah it’s just a stupid system really to use as a representation of how audiences are really feeling though. Especially when something like Zack Snyders Justice League has 94%.
  8. I didn’t realise Shazam had an opening weekend of 128 million (159 including China). That’s very good for a movie with no real big stars. Black Adam opening with 140 globally with the Rock at the helm, seems a bit disappointing imo.
  9. I can’t believe this is a the Rocks biggest opening as a leading man. That’s crazy. For such a successful career, he really hasn’t released anything noteworthy when it comes to movies.
  10. Where are the overseas numbers? I think it is a decent opening but far from a breakout. Interested to see how it performs from now on considering the lack of competition until Black Panther.
  11. I think the Rock needs to test himself out of his comfort zone. I seen an interesting thing about someone comparing The Rock to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Both have about the same level of acting ability imo but when comparing movies, the Rock has no films like Terminator, Predator or Total Recall. He needs to change it up if he wants people to take him a bit more seriously.
  12. Honestly the score could be worse so that’s a positive. The rotten tomatoes score will fluctuate a lot though as there is still just 52 reviews. The problem is usually with the first batch of reviews it tends to lean more positively. We’ll see what happens. I do think this movie needed a strong start with reviews though to give it a bit of a bump.
  13. Thor and Strange had the same review embargo. Same for all the tv shows I believe. Reviews for Thor and Dr Strange are not even that bad. Neither are rotten, it seems they were more disappointments with fans than anything. It seems Eternals made them change their review embargo. They released early and the reviews did not help that film at all. If anything the only thing that worries me is that runtime. 160 minutes can be a slog unless the film really delivers. We’ll see what happens anyway.
  14. A phone recording of the post credit scene has already leaked. Interesting to see if it builds hype for the movie or not. Seems though they had fan screenings, so I guess they wanted this to happen.
  15. Yeah even though it has a sort of generic feel to me, there does seem to be at least an epic scale here with some cool action. That should at least please the audience just looking for an all out action blockbuster, which this seems to be.
  16. Yeah it’s tough to sort of figure out. Something between 400-450 would be a disappointment but the first one was just a special sort of reaction. It will be an interesting one to follow especially if the reaction to the film is more on the negative side.
  17. Ok cool thanks. Has there been any idea of reactions or any leaked information with scoopers? I’m trying to find something but there seems to be nothing really.
  18. Does anyone know when we’ll be getting reactions to this? No info online really. I’m guessing next week?
  19. The first Black Panther was really a lightning in a bottle sort of thing. It’s hard to recreate something like that especially when the lead actor has passed away tragically. I think the film will still do well whether a positive or negative reaction. However I’m not expecting the same level of success.
