  1. PG....its based off the tv show that's wildly popular
  2. Gonna try to finished David this week. Already have my outline so I just gotta put some meat on it. I am finding it tough to write Dark Side. It is tough planning out where I want the film to go and how to conclude the series.
  3. @Alpha @ChD @YourMother the Edgelord Just making sure y'all see this!
  4. The time will soon approach for my favorite phase of CAYOM; The ACADEMY AWARDS!!! It's exactly what it says on the tin, we hold our own ceremony and see which of our films will go home with gold! The nomination phase begins now. Selective FIVE (5) nominations for each of the categories. Please sort them in alphabetical order of titles, (or the surname of the director/actor/composer) if possible. Also, while you may nominate your own films in any of these categories, please don't go overboard. In a bit of a twist this year, there will be NO public ballots. You will PM your nominations to me. This new rule is in place to ensure unbiased voting and create more suspense and excitement in tabulating the categories. Best Picture Best Animated Feature Best Director Best Ensemble Best Actor Best Actress Best Supporting Actor Best Supporting Actress Best Voice Actor/Actress in a Leading Role Best Voice Actor/Actress in a Supporting Role Best Original Screenplay Best Adapted Screenplay Best Original Score Best Original Song Best Cinematography Best Film Editing Best Art Direction Best Costumes Best Makeup Best Sound Mixing Best Sound Editing Best Visual Effects Best Use of Action

  9. The Lonely is gonna be tough and is gonna be a super original film. It is very out of the box and out there. I feel like y'all are gonna hit it hard for
  10. I wrote my response to your pre-read for Lilo....I'll send it to you now.
  11. Sounds perfect....I'll let you know my thoughts when I pre-read it.
  12. I fucking hate how people take animated films and just use the same material in the live action. Thanks for changing stuff in advanced and making a fresh story.
  13. Haha you are very very pessimistic lol it's kind of entertaining But I see your point. Hoping to buck the trend.
  14. I liked the mental institution and was interesting in mixing it with King Arthur/Merlin. It felt fresh and different, from having a 21st century King Arthur and Merlin (It would feel too superheroish) I am all about trying new things and mixing genres. I thought having a mental asylum setting with King Arthur/Merlin, where they discover their powers and we don't know if they are just insane or really do have these powers would stand out from the crowd in Y2 and be something fresh for audiences. As for the myth, it depends on the writer. Some have it back in the day and others have it during modern times. I went with the 1940's because it fit well with the mental institution.
  15. The King Arthur "twist" I did make a little too hard and wtf, I agree. You kind of have to be a big King Arthur person to pick it up early in the film. I have a problem where I try to hide a twist tooooo much and then it feels more like "" than "" I share my films with my roommates and one is a big Merlin and King Arthur guy. Right away when he read the film he was like, "This is the Once and Future King isn't it?" He knew Emry is the other name of Merlin, the burning boat on the lake (connected to Arthur's funeral), and he knew about the legend of King Arthur being reincarnated again. He loved the film and found it enjoyable/exciting......BUT my other roommate didn't catch the connection until the end and he had a similar reaction to yours.
  16. I can see it going either way man. Hope he enjoys it! I am predicting a B+/A-
  17. My thoughts on November opening weekends. Treasure Planet and Sitting Ducks I see running neck to neck in the mid to upper 60's. Both have a lot going for them. Treasure Planet is visually beautiful, has well known source material, and is the first 4-quad movie since Pokemon. Sitting Ducks is the first family film in a while, has basically zero competition in the weeks ahead (including Thanksgiving weekend), has a strong voice cast, short running time, and has a light "Saturday morning cartoon" vibe that is easy for families to enjoy. Storm Hunters- I see this surprising in the mid 50's The Island - High 30's or low 40's Deathsgiving- I'm mean seriously, this is a traditional tent pole weekend for November. This film is only in 2,400 theaters roughly. I see it performing decent with 12-13M, but honest this is gonna be the weekend where Treasure Planet, Sitting Ducks, Storm Hunters, and The Island see way better drops than normal. I don't see any movie falling harder than 50%. Thanksgiving is in the same boat. No opening film tops 3,000 theaters. Theaters will not give up showings for the above mentioned films. They are gonna rely on these films to bring in cash over Thanksgiving. Now, these films will start to get gutted mid-December. They have been in theaters a long time by now and Spryo is gonna hit Sitting Ducks hard. Voltron will basically eliminate the rest of the competition with easy. I agree with you, Voltron I am feeling a powerful opening weekend. 140M easily over the 5-day weekend. At the end of the day, from a box office perspective: Treasure Island, Sitting Ducks, Storm Hunters, and The Island are in a position most films would be extremely jealous of. The basically stand unrivaled for a month and a half. Just to add: Where do I see the film's ending? Treasure Island- 245-250M Sitting Ducks- 260-265M Storm Hunters- 185-190M The Island- 120-125M
  18. Solid for Demons...at least the opening ..legs expected. Excellent second weekend for MitAV. Hoping it holds well throughout November especially pre and in Veterans Day weekend
  19. My Life to Waste is more of a lifetime film lol
