  3. A lovely and underrated dramatic comedy with real stakes and genuine emotions. Gyllenhall is very good and Hathaway is fantastic. 8/10
  4. http://www.angelfire.com/alltimeukboxoffice/admissions.html A chart of all time admissions until 2003. I don't know if it's credible, in the bottom refers channel 4 as a source for the numbers.

  7. Titanic: When the movie title appears, when she spits Cal and in the end.ROTK: When Sam enters Frodo's recovery room near the end.Death Proof: When the girls beat the shit out of Stuntman Mike.
  8. X-Men First Class (not even close to X2)Hugo (beautiful but completely shallow movie)Descendants (like every Payne movie after Election)Deathly Hallows 2 (i thought part1 was better and 2nd best of the series behind Azkaban)
  9. It still won't be #1 all time. Titanic made $70m without the re-release.
  10. It's very entertaining but completely forgettable. It's too easy and not good enough for Spielberg. Like all his movies after Catch me if you can. I hope he finds his inspiration with Lincoln or any of his future projects and give us again something special.
  11. It has breathtaking images and the birth of the universe montage was great. But I thought it was artsy and difficult and "poetic" just for the sake of it. I didn't get it.
  12. Most underrated movie of '11 indeed. I loved it. I cried like a baby in the end.
  13. The last really epic film Hollywood has made. It's the best and the most powerful emotionally of the trilogy. A+
  14. Very good movie but I think a bit overrated. It's a great origin story, the villain is amazing (should have more screentime) but the last act of the film is kind of a mess.
  15. It could have been just a fun yet forgettable action film but RDJ/Law and their chemistry made it a little bit more than that. B.
  16. I hate movies that are just an excuse for a good actor/actress to play dress up and give an impressive but over the top and shallow performance. But academy loves them.
  17. I love the whole trilogy but the first one is my least favorite. It starts amazingly but it gets kind of boring towards the end, and the final battle in the woods was just unmemorable. It's a good movie though, but I think the next two are way better. B+
  18. Maybe it was overrated back in the day with a gazilion oscars and fans going crazy about it like it's the BEST.MOVIE.EVAHHH. But the years that followed it was continiously trashed from a vocal minority (mostly guys) because of the titanic/leo mania that followed and annoyed pretty much everyone. It's no accident the (low for a movie this loved) imdb rating it has in a site where the male/female ratio is something like 10/1.I love this movie, it was one of the best experiences I ever had in amovie theatre. Yes, the story is average and the bad guy is a caricature but this is a director's movie and it's as epic as they get.A.
