  1. Lol at that title: https://www.cinemablend.com/movies/creed-iii-trainer-explains-why-jonathan-majors-and-michael-b-jordans-training-was-like-being-in-prison And on his page in Wikipedia:”Majors had a difficult childhood, growing up with recently-released criminals such as drug dealers or murderers for neighbors who wore ankle monitors.[7] As a teenager, Majors faced numerous struggles: he was arrested for shoplifting, suspended from high school for getting into a fight and at one point he lived in his car while working two jobs to make ends meet[4] after being kicked out of his house.[7]” Well…
  2. So what? Is this a reality show? If anyone succumbed to their worst impulses, it would be a bloodbath, not an awards show. Bassett had all the time during JLC’s win to compose herself and she didn’t. She didn’t clap, she just displayed bitterness also at the end of JLC’s speech.
  3. I'm just embarrassed for Angela Bassett. The term ''sore loser'' has a new face and it's hers. No class, no...regal quality (for all of those who call her "queen"). Just a bitter woman who couldn't show some dignity. Ugh
  4. You really liked so much shouting and ridiculously overacting Angela Bassett? As a one-note performance as can be. Should she have won for Tina all those years ago? Maybe, but please not for this.
  5. Wow Oscars are really not her thing.. In other news, I’m rooting for Blanchett, Farrell and Jamie Lee Curtis. Ah and Short Round but he’s a given.
  6. It goes 1 > 2 > 4 > 5 > 6 > 3. Part 3 was just awful. Disjointed, badly edited, major script issues. And Part 6 was rushed to capitalize on Part 5’s success and it shows.
  7. Sorry to be that guy, but inflation plays a big part in this. Still impressive though, but the movie is just not good. I am surprised by the RT score.
  8. Conflicting feelings about it surpassing Maverick. On the one hand I wanted it to win the domestic crown, on the other I was also rooting for the short guy.
  9. The Thanos saga was lightning in a bottle, built on the backs of RDJ and Chris Evans, who melt into their characters, became one with them and elevated the material. Add to that the novelty of the MCU, some amazing movies like the Winter Soldier, who gave immense credit to the brand and some inspired directors like the Russo brothers and you have an Infinity War and an Endgame in your hands. There is no way the MCU can reach these heights again, there is noone to carry it. Who's the ''popular'' character among the new Avengers? She- Hulk? Moon Knight? A big boost will be given with the cameo feast that is going to be Avengers Secret Wars, but you can't continue a brand based on gimmicks..
  10. I seriously don’t intend to start any fan boy wars, but when I see that they made a freaking Ant Man trilogy, with perhaps the most insignificant of superheroes, I’m constantly reminded of the fact that the masterpiece that was Man of Steel couldn’t get a real sequel and my faith in this world is getting crushed.
  11. One reason the FB films failed was the awful gloomy murky cinematography which has gotten progressively worse since Order of the Phoenix, the only exception being Half Blood Prince. The best cinematography was in Prisoner of Azkaban btw...
  12. Boring doomposting. Isn't it a little embarrassing to be doing this for a 2 billion dollar movie?
  13. I’m not sure NWH was as “elite tier WoM film” as TGM though. A barren release schedule and the gimmicky spoiler that everyone knew going in did the trick. TGM was a real beast, stateside anyway.
  14. errr..."floppish"? Don't use the f word unless it's "Avatar, f*ck yeah!"
  15. Empire City got banned for exhibiting the same behavior, and to be honest I don’t remember him name calling.
