Yeah, I do think it's unfair and hypocritical and it's bad that you are taking sides. I don't care what EC would say, as I don't know or speak for him. Legion called foolish both EC and whoever agreed with him on the LOCKED issue and I happened to agree with him, so foolish applied for me too. You seem very ready to show the door to users and, from my part, there's no reason to be active in such a place. Adieu.

Well, that derogatory term would normally be enough for you to get points and I wonder why you didn't. Since you didn't, and I suppose not for the moderators not noticing your post, then I will proceed to say that maybe the one who still looks incredibly foolish is the one who clearly has some sort of dislike or beef with EC and insisted - and still does - at a worrying level, by bad mouthing both EC and everyone who agreed with him. EC was clearly correct and it wasn't that hard to tell even back then. If your insistence of not accepting the word "LOCKED" owes to the data not supporting this at the time, I think EC was experienced enough and had an overall view that allowed him to exclaim as much. I call on the moderators to express their opinion on the highlighted post of Legion By Night.

Very true. He was the first one who said it and stood by it when many doubted it. And there was just one that so vehemently and stubbornly denied the "LOCKED" factor, which was kind of silly on his/her behalf. The movie had amazing momentum and, in retrospect (barren release landscape, weak releases), it's embarrassing that he was opposed by supposedly experienced box office trackers. Also, on the "Who cares" question, the answer is that after EC was evicted, these threads are close to dead, without the spark of early predictions. I didn't always agree with the guy but come on, it's a box office tracking thread, if someone's being an ass, on a reasonable scale at least, we should maaaaybe be a little more thick skinned.

Empire City, and with the experience and data to back it up.

OF COURSE he is coming back and I suspect sooner rather than later. Everyone comes back eventually, be it the original SW trio, or the original JP trio or Harrison Ford as Indy etc, and you know the HP trio will eventually be coming back in some sort of sequel. He will be coming back, it’s not like he is a commercial draw in anything else. -
It needs an efficient boost for 700 mil and it’s getting there. Bullet train reviews will diminish the threat it poses.

It's all got to do with the ticket prices. I understand that pointing out ticket inflation renders any current box office conversation moot and ...unsexy, but we should always point out that behemoths like The Avengers and especially Titanic are very hard to beat. Titanic in particular is an once in a lifetime phenomenon and while I am happy for Top Gun 2 for surpassing it soon, Titanic's admissions is a thing of beauty, a true cultural moment in history.

Like Tommy boy would let them do that.
