  1. Kinda funny that we have just as much of a relationship after a couple of months as you and your son do...
  2. Yeah, spoiler alert but we'd basically been having a 4-way alliance since the beginning. Now that that's over though...
  3. Both SLOP and Dory broke 4300+ last summer if I recall. Illumination has a pretty good track record with theater counts
  4. Goddammit, Han got threadbanned? I was really looking forward to 50 more pages of the exact same "Wonder Woman is perfect / is terrible" argument
  5. In all seriousness, I do feel like the amount of...good live-action blockbusters in July (Spider-Man, Apes, Baby Driver, Atomic Blonde, Dunkirk, Valerian?) will hurt WW's chances at topping $400m or Guardians 2. It won't have the same novelty of being the only good live-action blockbuster in the marketplace.
  6. @Spaghetti of 1000 Planets Any chance we'll see Part 4 results today, or will that be tomorrow?
  7. Disclaimer: From now on in the list I'm going to take away the "rank adjusted for inflation" meter. It's screwed up anyway since Guardians 2 and (eventually) Wonder Woman will have made the list. If I need to add something like "this is one of the top 10 films of all time adjusted" then I'll do so.
  8. Disney/Pixar’s Cars 3 is also driving toward $7M today, but as of this minute is expected to come in under Wonder Woman in third with $23M, -57% for a running 10-day take of $97.7M by Sunday. Lionsgate’s Codeblack Entertainment’s All Eyez on Me is expected to gross $2.7M today for a second weekend of $8M, -70% for a 10-day total of $40.8M. http://deadline.com/2017/06/transformers-the-last-knight-opening-weekend-box-office-1202118976/
  9. Honestly, Paramount could be the major studio that churns out smaller, well-made sleeper hits. Their major blockbuster franchises (TMNT, Baywatch, Transformers, Terminator, Star Trek) have all stalled, and Mission: Impossible looks like the only thing they have left. They should at least use M:I to fund smaller projects. Might help them earn some respect, at the very least.
  10. Nah, at least for me I'm genuinely hyped for it. It's just fun to bust your balls from time to time
  11. Valerian won't even have an OW. Theaters will pull it due to lack of interest. Sorry @That One Guy it's just the truth
  12. I get the feeling that most of the July movies will do pretty well / have better-than-usual legs, if only because August is so dead.
  13. This is just...god-awful. RIP Paramount. I don't think anybody could have predicted that TF5's 5-day would go under ROTF's opening day. For Christ's sake, we're looking at a possible $125m total.
  14. Similar holds to ROTF: 9.7M Friday 10.6M Saturday 8.5M Sunday 28.8M weekend
  15. I think he meant -24% without counting previews. Still terrible regardless.
