I read Mendelson's box office reports because he's one of the only pundits out there who does it regularly, but as a critic he tries way too hard to be the contrarian. Anyone who loved Snatched (but conveniently didn't write a review) but didn't like Homecoming or TFA seems a little suspicious to me.

Seems like a good omen for 80+, given that Homecoming had final showtimes way in advance. Can't see it doing under 60-65 at this point -

Presales are currently outpacing Doctor Strange ($85m) and are on par / close to Fantastic Beasts ($74m). Don't see it being much more fan-driven than either of those. -

Where is IT in relation to Fantastic Beasts? If it can do similar numbers I'd say it has a strong shot at $90m-$100m thanks to walkups -

Deadline's aiming big, according to a new interview with the director It continues to build out-sized tracking numbers that have some whispering the film could exceed a $70 million and even hit $80 million when it opens September 8. -
With a crazy school schedule and a lot of family stuff going on, I'll probably never be able to get this done in a reasonable amount of time, and I've dragged this on long enough as it is. Hopefully I'll be able to post semi-regularly again soon, but for now here's the entire list. Thanks to everyone who paid attention.

Honestly can't see mother! being that big. J-Law and reviews will help it get over Crimson Peak but something like 15m/50m seems right to me -

Pretty sure IT and Kingsman aren't family movies lol -
Let me explain. I was halfway through predicting. I was ready to go, I really was. But an emergency came up and I ended up spending most of my time last night in a very different place than I expected. Really sorry that it ended this way, but please know I didn't not predict out of laziness. I just couldn't do anything about it. But I'll definitely be back next season to prove myself. Congrats @WrathOfHan! I'm happy a fellow Cougar won.

It's almost like Tomato Law is an ill-defined rule that everybody took seriously for a couple of weeks because of a bunch of random coincidences -
We'll see if I manage to pull it off this time...regardless, I'm definitely playing again. Can't resist a little healthy competition. Favorite part was definitely how the Flying Cougars didn't lose ONCE (at least until the merge...) @Wrath @WrathOfHan @Arlborn @Goffe we are the og squad

Literally the only good thing about the ad campaign is that Jacksfilms has become more relevant because of it -

Doesn't seem good for Emoji. Low to mid 20s, maybe? At this point I'm just hoping for a $15m weekend for Atomic Blonde and then $60m+ total. One thing's for sure: these openers doing so poorly is going to give Dunkirk and the rest crazy legs. Even Valerian could leg it to $50m
