  1. Season 6 was actually my favourite season of the show the first time I binged it (I came late to the party), I don't understand why people think of it and Season 5 as lacking or inferior to the first 4. I guess it's because Tywin died, and he had the best dialogue. Maybe 5 was a little bit slow for some people, and the Sand bitches were annoying AF, but everything else was excellent. Season 6, on the other hand, was just excellent TV for me, so if someone can explain to me what annoys them with those two seasons, I'd be very happy, as I'm honestly curious.
  2. Regarding the Jaime arc, I think it would've made more sense if he stayed with Brienne, but both of them went to fight to King's Landing. As he saw Cersei is about to die a horrible death, he realises he can't allow that, even though he got rid of her, she'll always be a part of him. It's not a thing of blind, toxic love, but a sibling love. He knows they're done, but she is still his sister and she is carrying his baby. Brienne realises that's something he must do and lets him go, and he dies with Cersei the same way they died at the end of the episode. It's obviously not an ideal conclusion to his arc, but it would've made more sense to me than just throwing everything away regarding his development as a person.
  3. I'm sorry, but I'd hate it if Daenerys turned mad even in the books. Everyone keeps saying: "It WaS FoReShAdOwEd!", but you can say that about literally every character in GoT. Wasn't Jon the one that hanged all those people that killed him, including a 12-year old, even though they objectively had every reason to, especially Olly? Wasn't he the one that didn't show mercy to Janos Slynt even though he begged him? Also Sansa. Didn't she enjoy feeding Ramsay Bolton to his dogs? Didn't she enjoy the death of Joffrey? I don't even need to mention Arya, that bitch must be crazy compared to them, if you look at her deeds as "foreshadowing". I mean, she made a pie from two humans and gave it to their father. Does that mean if they suddenly started burning hundreds of thousands of civilians, I'd be like: "Yep, expected."? EFFING NO, it still would be the stupidest shit ever. Enjoying the death of her enemies, or just killing them to get justice, does NOT mean she was turning mad, it just means she was like every other character in the show, but I guess some people just like those YouTube theories about her becoming her father so much that they have a hard time realizing other characters did the same shit without getting labeled as mental nearly as much as she did.
  4. I usually hate those people that keep wishing for a remake of a show finale or a movie they disliked, but seeing where this one is headed, what are the odds someone remakes the last two seasons and adds three new ones?
  5. Hmm, I think bad final chapters are worse for shows than they're for movies. For instance, many people dislike TLJ, but they don't need to watch it, they have the OT which doesn't demand the sequels to be seen. However, a TV show is always going towards its finale, and a bad one can seriously degrade the rest of the show. I mean, several people I've talked with said that if they knew that the finale of HIMYM would be so bad, they would never watch the show. Same goes for this one, if the finale indeed turns out to be bad, then it will seriously ruin the rewatchability factor for me as I don't wanna watch a show that is speeding towards a disaster. Also, what was everyone's problem with Season 5? The Snake bitches were awful, but the rest was as good as the rest of the show for me. Maybe I can't really differentiate the seasons as I've only discovered the show two years ago, so I binged the first 6 seasons in 2 weeks, but all in all, I thought it was good.
  6. I just love how they have this whole "after-show" to explain their dumbass writing. 😂 Also, is this show breaking the record for the worst final season of an excellent TV show? D&D be like: I'm about to end this whole franchise. 😂
  7. I love this show to its core, but I just can't believe how much they're screwing it up with some of these decisions lately. The first episode was fine, some rather questionable decisions, but all in all, entertaining TV. The second one was a masterpiece, it was everything we loved from GoT. The third one was excellent in terms of visuals and music, but the fact that everyone important survived and that we didn't get a backstory about the Night King was really provoking me. The last one was a complete disaster through and through, everyone was acting out of character without much explanation or reason, the dialogue was truly awful, I cringed at Jaime/Brienne and Arya/Gendry scenes. But the death of Rhaegal was some of the stupidest writing I've ever seen on television, just awful on so many levels, it was just not on par with GoT. Now, we all know the quality dropped when they surpassed the books, it was to be expected, but the show was never outright dumb. The last season had some dumb decisions, but it was never show-killing. This is. I'm just so sad that it seems we're going to get a bad final season for one of the best, if not the best, shows of all time just because someone was lazy to write 6 episodes in two years and just wanted to be done with it so they can do Star Wars...
  8. Yes, the cosmos cares so much about the dude bro Snyder that it's punishing WB for his crappy movies...
  9. These numbers are just stupendous. I remember last year when IW hit us with those amazing numbers, I was convinced EG would grow, but by only a couple of millions, because it just seemed impossible for any movie to gross much higher than that. However, here we are, expecting a 350 million opening! A historic weekend, for sure, so y'all better enjoy it while it lasts, 'cause I don't see any movie in the next decade even coming close to what we're seeing now. Also, can't believe that Avatar WW number is in serious danger. 2.7 billions seemed unreachable, but may now fall like a house of cards. History in the making, people...
  10. Another one of my ostentatious posts, LOL, but I passed one of the hardest exams on my college last Thursday. I'm honestly still in shock... Also, I'm interested how hard is faculty of architecture in your countries? I know I've been pissing blood since October last year, architecture is actually known to be one of the hardest colleges here in Croatia, but it's mostly because I'm being drowned in stupid, irrelevant subjects, and I honestly can't believe it's the same in other countries.
  11. The renovation was slow and basically ineffective, as not enough resources were being put into it. Some experts even said the building could suffer severe structural problems in the next decade, so what we're seeing today is something we would've probably seen soon enough.
  12. If anything, this should really be a leason to us all. So many of our monuments are falling apart, priceless pieces of art and architecture are being lost to neglect and decay. Today it's Notre Dame, tomorrow it can easily be the Palace of Westminster in London, another building in a horrible state of disrepair. We cannot keep acting once it's too late. As a (hopefully) future architect, I really think it's time for the rich countries of EU to really put their act together and invest their money in saving their culture that has taken centuries to develop, or we will continue to see sights like this.
  13. Why? So many famous buildings are reconstructions, most people don't even know. Notre Dame will be rebuilt, and it will be as magnificent as it was.
  14. All of those were either mediocre or bad movies. It's not enough to make an original movie, it actually has to be good, but it seems Disney still has problems comprehending that. Also, The Nutcracker should've been an animated feature.
  15. Dafaq!? Here in my country, you only pay if you screw up the whole year, and it's only like a 1000 dollars, slightly more. If you screw up only a couple of exams, you pay even less. I study architecture, my sister studies dental medicine and my brother studies electrical engineering, I'm pretty sure our parents would kill themselves before all of us would get to the second year if our higher education was as messed up as yours, lol. Anyways, good luck, I'm sure you'll manage to pay it off in no time, doctors earn quite a bit, lol.
  16. I definitely need an update on that story... 😂😂
  17. I never talk in extremes like some people when it comes to box office, especially when we haven't even seen a glimpse of footage. However, the fact is that VFX-heavy movies are not uncommon these days, and VFX and 3D are the main reason for those 2.7 billion dollars in the first place, so unless Cameron comes up with a new gimmick to boost those numbers, the highest number I can see is 2 billion, only because we know that the visuals will still be awesome, but will not be unseen like in the first film. Also, why would I be unlucky if a movie makes 3 billion dollars? If it makes it there, good for the cast and crew. As if an American movie's earning has any effect on my life whatsoever...
  18. A part of me honestly thinks there might be suicides among them when Avatar 2 inevitably (like, 90%) fails to earn as much as the first one, let alone more than 3 "billies".
  19. My post literally says the first movie, man... 😂 All that brainwashing and delusions have taken your capability to comprehend what you read...
  20. 1) And yet no one wants to see the first movie anymore, as it's dull as a rock. It was all style, no substance. 2) Hmmm, having a profile pic with a 1.3 billion dollar movie or one with a giant-eyed flop, which is better? 3) Oh, you don't have to pity me, as soon as I need pity from someone who spends most of their days glorifying a mediocre movie, I'll talk to you. Funny enough, I actually liked Avatar, the VFX was amazing, it's an okay movie, if not a little "white-savioury". I'm quite excited for the sequels, just wish for a much more refined story. However, I do get annoyed when a fan of one mediocre movie calls another one mediocre without actually seeing the irony.
  21. LOL, it didn't take long for you to bite the bait... On a more serious note, Avatar is a 10/10 as much as CM is, which means none of them are, both are just fun popcorn flicks, but with one having cooler effects.
