Venom had a much stronger first day of presales but Aquaman is now in front on Day 2. Keeping in mind that Venom had two more days of presales, it is likely to remain the solo superhero ceiling for a while - but it seems an excellent start for Aquaman.
6 days out, OD presales are currently at 4.58M and could finish around 6M if things go swimmingly.

Aquaman starts out well enough with a decent amount of screens on its first day of presales. It is it's first day of presales so comparisons wont be accurate at this point. But below are some other movies OD presales 7 days out
Fantastic Beasts - 0.569m
Justice League - 1.5m
Thor Ragnarok - 1.55m
Ant Man 2 - 4.81m
Venom - 6.38m
These movies had higher shows at this point because they had been running for a few days compared to Aquaman which just started today. So we will see how it behaves over the next few days. Right now Justice League seems the best comparison as it started out 8 days before release, had similar show count 7 days out as well as similar OD PS 7 days out.
I saw a comparison to Venom earlier. Well Venom opened its PS with much higher numbers than Aquaman, almost double in fact. Below are its numbers at the end of its first day.
Venom (9 days out)
Midnight - 572k
OD - 2.99m (41575 shows)
Sat - 1.3m
Sun - 809k
Aquaman can still go on a Venom like PS run, but we will have to wait and watch.
PS: I was not home hence couldn't get the numbers earlier
Is there any reason Aquaman started late compared to other movies which started 8 or more days before in PS ?

Good increase for JL today. OD running behind Thor but by just .05m. I dont have Thor's sat/sun number at same point in time. If JL has similar increases tomorrow then it could overtake Thor in PS. Lets see if that happens

Kind of strange. I noticed both Bumblebee and Marry Poppins selling together at same pace.
Whenever there's Bumblebee's ticket sold there is also MPR's ticket.
