  1. Still the best X-men team up movie (otherwise it's Deadpool) IMO. How they butchered the storyline with X-Men 3 is something to behold.
  2. 0% chance of 500M, movie opened with something like 60M if we exclude China's gross, if I had to guess 130M China, 150M OS-C, 115M DOM. 395M final.
  3. I finally saw this movie today and it's pretty DANG good. After the trailers I thought this would be average at best but this is legitimately Disney's best or 2nd best remake (can't decide b/w this & TJB). Robin Williams as Genie will always remain immortal but Will Smith was tremendous too and it's a good thing that he did his own thing. The real scene stealer or I should say best performer was Naomi Scott hands down, not only did she act well, her singing was just unreal, it was beautiful. Other cast did well too and I don't understand the criticism about Jafar, I thought he was fine. Hopefully there's a sequel. 8.5/10.

  5. Seriously, it took me out of the scene. When Tyrion said it for the 1st time . just rolled my eyes but then everyone in the council started with this shit and it took me out of the scene, what does it even mean? Absolutely dreadful season BTW, never would have imagined them dropping the ball like this, this takes me back to Dexter days where the last season screwed everything up. Incidentally it's 4th season was also the best as is GOT's for me. Having said all of this, thank you GOT for giving 6 wonderful and 1 very good season, I may revisit the series again but not any time sooner. Also lastly WTF BRAN THE BROKEN means?

  7. As someone said in one of the earlier threads, Deadline just throws out a range which usually everyone knows once the preview numbers come in. For example we now know that JW3 will probably be in between 50s - 70s so Deadline may as well just write the first number will be between 5-7 and 2nd number 0-9. Hurrah Weekend Prediction. Edit - I think it was @DAR who made that point.
  8. What I am more interested in looking is that you gave 1 star to 4th and 5th episode.
  9. https://www.express.co.uk/showbiz/tv-radio/1126655/Game-of-Thrones-season-8-episode-5-Jaime-Lannister-blunder-gaffe-hand-Cersei-Lannister Apparently Jamie grew his hand back in the last episode There was starbucks in the 4th episode, can't wait for what's in store for the 6th episode.
  10. A very dramatic IPL final, MI winning by 1 run, congrats to them for their 4th title. This has been a crazy week from Football to Cricket. Also I really hope Bumrah remains in top form come World Cup. He's the most important player even more so than Kohli.
  11. I have made it a point to not read comments below Brie Larson videos on youtube. The hate is ridiculous, she could pet a puppy and people will still come with some outrageous excuses.
  12. https://deadline.com/2019/05/pokemon-detective-pikachu-avengers-endgame-box-office-weekend-1202611690/ Sunday AM Update/writethru: Following Saturday 7:28AM post, refresh for chart and more analysis: Warner Bros./Legendary’s Pokémon Detective Pikachu is coming in ahead of its $50M-$55M domestic tracking with a $58M No. 2 opening being called by the studio. They excelled with the first Pokemon movie back in 1999 with a $31M launch, and they’ve done even better with updated live-action hybrid comedy close to 20 years later. It’s a great comeback for Legendary on the Burbank lot after having its deal at Universal in recent years. Smart dating here on behalf of Warner Bros.: They waited for Disney/Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame to calm down going two weekends after the summer juggernaut, which as of this morning continued to top the box office with its third No. 1 in a row with an estimated $64.5M (Disney will report soon). Edit - Sorry it's 64.5M
  13. https://deadline.com/2019/05/pokemon-detective-pikachu-avengers-endgame-box-office-weekend-1202611690/ Endgame - 61.7M Pikachu - 57.4M Pikachu won last night $20.7M (including previews) to Endgame‘s $16.2M. He landed an A- CinemaScore, which is great. He received 4 stars from general audiences and parents and 4 1/2 from kids under 12 in ComScore/Screen Engine PostTrak exits. Those who bought tickets were 56% male and 61% under 25 with 32% under 17 years old. Diversity demos were 48% Caucasian, 24% Hispanic, 18% Asian/Other, & 10% African American. Pikachu played best in the West & Mid-West but was quite strong everywhere.
