  1. So it’s finally here. After 20 years. And I have thoughts, and I’ve got feelings, and you know what I have some concerns. I’m sure I’ll probably have some more as time progresses, but those are kind of my big bullet points. Show is good. I am excited to see where it goes. It’s different than I thought I would be, but that’s a good thing. oh and!!
  2. I can't believe Disney approved any of this. Maybe I'm just getting old and clutching my pearls, but like... the story is really that they're washed-up has beens, and their friend addicted to "cheese" gets kidnapped by the mob, and then they reveal there's a conspiracy regarding non-con body modification, trafficking, and slavery? Yeah. All the easter eggs were fun, but
  3. I will burn down this entire board and all of the internet If I hear one negative word about her. Omg. She’s perfect. And precious. And I am so happy for her I could cry. Also is Sarah Finn a wizard? Because I’m pretty convinced that she just like grabs the actual characters from some Multiverse dimension, gives them a fake name, and says “Look we found our new Marvel Superhero!!”
  4. I hope they put the Championship on Cody. Or at least make him an actual challenger for Roman. Even if you’re playing the long game, make it feel like it isn’t just squash after squash after squash for Roman. Meanwhile all day I’ve just been imagining like Sasha Banks showing up at AEW in Boston for a dynamite Taping And immediately getting the women’s Title off whoever is holding it. And then cutting a promo about how this is now her company, this is her division, this is her title, Because she is the boss. 😭😭😭😭😭 It’s not gonna happen because WWE Would probably rather pay her to sit at home then release her, but in my mind I am ready for this.
  5. OMgggggggggggg. First, fuck WWE Creative. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY: TOOOOOOOOOOONY. TOOOOOOOOOOOONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  6. Eurovision was so entertaining this year,
  7. I have only seen the trailer in front of movies. I haven’t seen any ads. And I will say that if you all Don’t like Philadelphia’s numbers, then you definitely shouldn’t look at New England. Big fat nothing. I just think people don’t like pre-sales up here because I took a look at top gun and nothing has sold locally. But I have no doubt that the IMAX theater will be full on opening weekend
  8. The theaters, that are owned by private institutions, have their own mandates for masking during a performance. You in theory also need to be vaccinated and show a card. But we were not carded this weekend.
  9. the myth. The woman. The icon. The legend. When that woman was like I pay your salary, I almost jumped through the video and was like do you know who you’re talking to?!?!?
  10. Lin!!!! 😂😂😂 i don’t think Sutton is too old. She was just way way way way too stiff. One could almost say that her face turn from hating him to loving Him was “a big swerve” 😘 (though the choice of moving Shipoopi up to open act two and use that as the “save the cat” moment as Hill dances with the kids was briiiiiilliant. I was like, god damn, why hadn’t I thought of that )
  11. No one assumes that. You all came out at Comic Con in 2019 and said that this was going to be about Val finding a girlfriend. 😥
  12. If he wants to, they will wait for him. They have so many other projects happening right now. I doubt if the fantastic four comes out in 2025 instead of 2024 it’s really gonna affect their schedule that much. It might even be better for it.
  13. As that person, I’d like to emphasize I really meant because he’s a con man who is conning their audience on his musical ability. Not because he’s better than Preston. I would never say that. Ever. 😂😂 Just want to make sure we have that clear.
  14. It's whatever the movie's called where I'm gonna have to suffer through Chris Pratt while I watch Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum host the Dino Nature Documentary. That one!
  15. I saw MOM twice this weekend on IMAX. Both times this got the BIGGEST reaction from the crowd from the crop of previews we got (Don't Worry Darling, Jurassic Park, Lightyear, Thor: Love & Thunder, Avatar 2). Applauds at the end. Both times. The aerial stunts on this look bonkers amazing. Anyone underestimating this is doing so at their own peril.
  16. Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I was like "Hugh's Tony has at been at the engravers since 2019." 1, Holy Hell, he's been dead for 13 years? 2, Make sense to end it there. Can't make an inspriational bio pic and end it on a bad note 🥴 3, Why does it feel like the ones that are the most talented -- Whitney, Judy, MJ, Britney, etc -- always seem to attract the worst type of vultures that exploit their worse tendencies. Just sad.
  17. This movie also feels way less "controversial" (imagine me doing that with the air quotes) than any of the other stuff they've been doing. As long as it's funny, I think it should motor right along. TBH, the annoying thing I see coming is people trying to pull some "Marvel is Back! Marvel is Back to Its Best" bullshit headlines, as if things like Eternals and MOM were really THAT terrible. :hmph:
  18. Katrina Lenk getting snubbed and Sutton Foster getting nominated for Lead Actress is a travesty. No, Lenk's Being Alive is not the Big Sung Version Of The Song (Obviously that is Audra's ) but she acts the HELL of out it, it's perfectly in character for her Bobbie, and I totally had chills/Was Getting EMOTIONAL TM once she really let go. She's also so so so so funny. I can't stress how much better the show works with Bobbie as a woman. It was just OUTSTANDING. Best thing I saw all weekend though: Boyle's "Not Getting Married Today" was a crowning achievement, and I hope they just say "Fuck It" and perform that at the Tony's instead of "Side by Side by Side." He slaaaaaaaays that song. Moreover, the staging of that number was mindblowing. Literally stopped the show. I think the audience applauded for about 3-4 minutes, and a couple people down front where standing. And then Patti was just PATTI. Whereas, Music Man. I was SHOCKED at how much I disliked Sutton Foster's Marion. When she made her entrance, I was just like, Finally. The True Talent Has Arrived. Then as the show went oh, I kept thinking, "Girl, we all make choices, but that was a Choice." And, it's so weird, cause she's Sutton Foster. She's impossible at being bad. I just... don't think she being a very good Marion. My Mom really liked Music Man. I was STUNNED at how FAST it moved. I was like "There's NO WAY, we're already at Intermission" when Wells Fargo Wagon hit. The entire show is fine, but it's basically review proof. That audience was rowdier than a Thursday Night Marvel movie. Jackman had those Boomer Women eating out of his palms. In that sense he's kind of the perfect Harold Hill, since all of his charms and dance ability is ALMOST enough to make you think it's a bona fide's Broadway Star until he opened his month. As as the song says... Booooy, Ya Got Trouble, my friend. His voice is GONE. And with no autotune and blended voices to back him up, it's just so rough. I was like "Please stop. We live in a world where lip syncing is cool now. I beg of you, just play Robert Preston's recording. It's okay. No one will be upset. Your dancing and acting are more than enough to keep everyone happy!!!" And Funny Girl getting only one nomination is sooooooo funny to me. The show's not NEARLY as bad as everyone's saying it is. Beanie is absolutely not Barbra, but she's smartly not trying to be. And a bit like Katrina her acting is better than her singing, but I never questioned her choices or abilities the way I did Jackman. She's so charming, and frankly, it was just nice to see a Big Girl up on stage leading the show. I would also remind everyone that Barbra herself got PANNED when she did Hello, Dolly! cause she wasn't Carol Channing. I thought the COSTUMES were amazing. That felt like a snub there. And Jared Grimes was rightfully nominated. Stole. The. Show. Jane Lynch is perfectly Jane Lynchian. My biggest issue was that Ramin Karimloo was out with COVID, and the guy that played Nick was good. Beautiful voice. Didn't look or act the role at all. So that tossed me. I just was like "I paid to see Ramin!!"
  19. I won’t lie, 187M/449M feels like the best number for Wanda’s chaos magic. It’s really great, but it’s not really good. Thus, gonna provide pages and pages of entertainment as everyone tries to read tea leaves.
  20. Y’all really want to start the “identity politics” bad takes but ALSO Cap picking up the hammer is bad?
