Lmao at “Rami” being forgotten. An actor isn’t remembered for the awards they win but for the work they put out there. Besides the Oscars mostly award shitty non-factor movies/roles - which have no chance at being remembered since nobody has seen them to begin with. Bohemian Rhapsody grossed over 800 million and is LOVED by the general audience. It’s also attached to one of the biggest bands of all time. The movie and the role will certainly be remembered - with or without the Oscars (which are btw dying and decreasing in ratings every year).

I can't believe they are adding so many theaters to ASIB AGAIN. Can they give it up already? The movie already leaked in full quality and there is no one left that wants to see it. The way they are pushing this movie should be a crime - it's honestly cheating. Imagine if Infinity War got the same treatment - would have easily surpassed "A Fad Awakens"

I’m also judging it from the backlash the last Jedi received. The situation is similar to the DCEU with Justice Leauge (minus Wonder Woman).

I just don’t think the Star Wars brand is as strong anymore. Just look at Solo - those numbers are unacceptable. The interest for SW9 just doesn’t seem to be there - specially internationally. It’s doing less than 600M international and probably around 600 domestically so that adds up to 1,2 billion.

Every MCU movie is promoted with the marvel name - it doesn’t mean anything. Just look at Marvel’s Antman & The Flops. The movie does not look exciting - no way it reaches 1 billion.

Not true. People are overpredicting this just like Mary Poppins. Even Wonder Woman (biggest female superhero of all time) failed to reach 1 billion. What makes you think Captain Marvel will? No one knows her, the actress is unlikable, the trailers have been underwhelming - there are no signs that the movie will smash.

Definitely a possibility! I think the movie will smash internationally but not sure about DOM. Although I guess I shouldn’t doubt the power of Jim!

Not surprising that the coming of age masterpiece “Bumblebee” is bombing in China. They don’t like quality films with good storylines. Only shitty mindless CGI’d action with bad plots - hence why Aquaman is a success.
