I was being a bit hyperbolic, but I pretty much stand by it. There is a large awareness/curiosity as a historical/global news event, but I think a vanishingly small % of Americans are actually being emotionally affected here or going to make any change to their daily behavior. So, basically, nobody cares.
You don’t seem to understand the purpose of moderators. My pointing out that it was foolish to call 700 locked when EC first did, because it was, is not against any kind of forum rules, nor is it sensible to expect that it would be.
