As I recall, MoM had reshoots done as late as March 2022. I think Cap 4 should definitely be able to get released in May, assuming the strike ends by January. If it doesn’t, then Hollywood is screwed.
If it gets delayed again, I don’t see how it could be blamed on the strikes, unless they need to do some massive reshoots. I’m not even sure how that would work at this point, considering how much older the child actors have gotten since they finished principal photography.
Serious question; how many alternate versions of AtSV are there? Because a bunch of people on Twitter have been pointing out differences between the digital release and what they saw in theaters. That’s actually pretty annoying.
I can certainly agree that the Michael Bay films have more personality to them than the newer ones, but they’re still pretty repetitive and a lot of it comes across like Bay didn’t give a shit, mostly the second one and the ones with Mark Wahlberg. I guess RotF at least has the excuse of the Writer’s Strike.
Ayer has said in the past that his cut of SS is pretty much locked, and just needs some VFX touch-ups, so in theory, finishing it should be significantly less expensive than the Snyder Cut. It would also coincide pretty well with Joker 2 if they release it next year.
My understanding is that they received a measly five percent of the profits for HC and FFH, but that after renegotiating in 2019, Disney received 25% of the profits for NWH. Disney also owns the merchandising rights for Spider-Man, which I’m pretty sure Sony doesn’t get a penny from.
I’m not saying it would work, but this is Hollywood we’re talking about. At the very least, it would be a bit less forced than that Saw Patrol nonsense that Paramount and Lionsgate are trying to push.
