  1. I used the obvious examples to illustrate my point about how even people who aren’t well versed in filmmaking should be aware that Nolan’s films have CGI, hence why I said “most people with common sense.” Seriously, where are you getting this idea that Christopher Nolan wants people to believe he’s some expert magician who can do what no other filmmaker can do? To my knowledge, there have been no quotes from him where he claimed that his movies have absolutely no CGI. All he’s been on record of saying is that he prefers to use practical effects whenever possible.
  2. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Nolan say that his films never use CGI. Just that he tries to avoid it as much as possible. I think most people with common sense are well aware that those were not real bats flying around in Batman Begins, and that the money burning scene in TDK probably wasn’t real either.
  3. Not sure what your argument here is. Shouldn’t this tweet reinforce the notion that Weintraub is to blame for the confusion here?
  4. Dude, seriously, we know the movie has CGI. Please go read the article instead of going off a clickbaity headline.
  5. Sigh https://www.educba.com/vfx-vs-cgi/#:~:text=VFX stands for Visual Effects, stands for Computer Generated Imagery.&text=VFX are used to create,videos%2C and other digital work.
  6. What bullshit? Again, he was asked how many CGI shots are in the movie, not how much CGI is in it. By your logic, the only honest answer would’ve been for him to say that every shot in the movie is CGI. “No CGI shots” simply means that every shot in the movie was filmed in front of a camera, rather than made with a computer. The CGI is simply used to clean up/enhance the scenes. Anyway, that’s the last I’ll say, since I have the feeling this topic is at risk of going off the rails.
  7. It really sounds like you’re desperate to look for a reason to be mad here. Nolan was asked a question about how many CGI shots are in the movie, and he gave an answer. If you want to claim that VFX shots and CGI shots are the same thing, then practically every scene in every modern movie is a CGI shot by that logic.
  8. No, he didn’t. He said it has no CGI shots, not that there is no CGI period.
  9. Again, no one said the movie has absolutely no CGI. Just that there’s a difference between a CGI shot and a shot that uses CGI.
  10. I don’t know if the return of a bunch of Fox Marvel characters will make much of a difference, aside from Wolverine.
  11. The comparisons between this and Joker 2 would’ve been even funnier if Ryan Gosling had played the Joker in Suicide Squad..
  12. I’m almost certain this is gonna be like the X-Force in DP2 where all these multiverse characters apart from Wolverine get killed off as a joke.
  13. Rotten Tomatoes doesn’t work that way. If a movie has even a single negative review, it won’t go back to 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, even if the percentage rounds up to 100.
  14. I wonder if Toby Emmerich is kicking himself for having said no to Christopher McQuarrie’s pitch for a Man of Steel sequel.
  15. They can have it takes Spider-Verse’s current release date.
  16. I watched the movie, and I’m not sure we saw the same movie, because that isn’t true.
  17. What the hell is the point of this? They might as well not even bother having Batman in the DCU then.
