  1. JEMAINE!!!!!! was easily the best thing about this. Every else was kinda mediocre, stuff we've seen plenty times before territory.
  2. Absolutely hilarious. Though I don't agree with the Melissa McCarthy praise. For me she was the least funny of all the main characters.
  3. Early reviews for Arthur Christmas are good. Not amazing, but I think it could be enough to get in.
  4. One of those rare movies that lacks a single redeeming feature. Just terrible in every single aspect.
  5. ^He's def confirmed now. I can completely understand why the Academy would want to play it safe with this choice.
  6. Yes, it's a little conventional, but the acting from the main ensemble is EXTRAORDINARY! Totally makes up for it.
  7. True. Actually, those plot points do piss me off a little bit. Always takes the movie away from the central conflict way too long.
  8. I don't want a sequel. I love the fact that a mainstream animated movie ended with the owls saying the main character could die soon. Haha, ballsy! A sequel would ruin that gag for me.
  9. It was well acted, and a lot of funny dialogue put in there as well, and I loved the cinematography and production design of the movie, in that they actually reflected the story in a way, you can tell it's good when it does that. Though I must admit the story comes across as a bit mundane and formulaic.
  10. Confirmed on several sites. Billy is the backup Oscar host.
  11. No one in any version of XF will ever sing that song as good as Danyl did. Josh was crap in comparison.
  12. Very effective film showing the horrors of war for the most part. I hate the fact that it basically turns into a simple good vs. evil conflict with that final battle. Also the bookends of the film are err, bad. Great performances from Tom Hanks, Matt Damon and Daniel Faraday though.
  13. You can believe the hype on this one. Slickly edited, brilliantly acting, mesmerising dialogue and an awesome unconventional score.
  14. Indeed. Great performance from Christian Bale, and it's cool to see Liam Neeson to play the bad guy for once. And honestly the scope of this one felt bigger than The Dark Knight. Awesome origin story.
  15. Just started watching now. Wow, they got to go to the Jack and Jill premiere? Err, I bet they were happy about that.
  16. Loved it. Hilarious, and the animation was GOR-JUS!!
  17. The first. I think it's the one with the most wit. That's not to say that the other two are lacking in that department though.
  18. Oh yeah, Captain Haddock was a lot of fun. Serkis actually deserves way more praise for that performance than what he's been getting for Apes.
  19. Hey! I'm a Chaplin fan as well. Modern Times (his best work) has been one of my favourites for years now...
  20. There are a few cringe moments/lines but I like it. Winslet and DiCaprio are great together and it's extremely well paced for a 3 hour flick.
