I don't want a sequel. I love the fact that a mainstream animated movie ended with the owls saying the main character could die soon. Haha, ballsy! A sequel would ruin that gag for me.
It was well acted, and a lot of funny dialogue put in there as well, and I loved the cinematography and production design of the movie, in that they actually reflected the story in a way, you can tell it's good when it does that. Though I must admit the story comes across as a bit mundane and formulaic.
Very effective film showing the horrors of war for the most part. I hate the fact that it basically turns into a simple good vs. evil conflict with that final battle. Also the bookends of the film are err, bad. Great performances from Tom Hanks, Matt Damon and Daniel Faraday though.
Indeed. Great performance from Christian Bale, and it's cool to see Liam Neeson to play the bad guy for once. And honestly the scope of this one felt bigger than The Dark Knight. Awesome origin story.
