    Lol yh back in early blair years when I was a young teenage the good times. It is often spoken about in Britain in general chit chat about how much cinema prices have soared in the last few years in particular.

    Orange Wednesday is fairly modern so Skyfall benefit from that. IMO Titanic sold more tickets then Skyfall as cinema tickets have gone up more then £3 since 98 more like double since then these figures are very hard to believe just from my experience of living in the UK and going to the cinema.

    Yh in London or any other city less then £7.50 is a bargain! Cinema prices are so expensive now when i was kid it was a cheap day out lol. If you asked most people how much prices have gone up in the last 10 years most would say they have double and they would not be that far from the truth they have certainly almost double since titanic.

    How reliable are these sources for admissions? I find it hard to believe Skyfall has sold more tickets then Titanic. Ticket prices in the uk have gone up massively since 97/98 to now. Would not be surprised if really the modern ticket prices for skyfall are double that of titanic prices in 97 i mean your paying at least £7 almost everywhere in country just for a 2d film 10 years ago you could easily get a ticket for £3.50 never mind back 15 years ago?

    Danny dyer not particularly went know outside of the UK but he is a first class prat eh can't stand anything he does!

    Oh okay i did not know they filmed them at the same time i presumed they film one after the other. They should not of made 3 films peter jackson made one of the worst mistakes of recent box office history there. Also WB panic as they have no huge money spinners on the horizon after the end of harry potter and batman.

    Oh right i see yh that makes sense but it does make sense that spend more on the 2nd one as sequels often cost more due to more action and cgi effects.

    People got ahead of themselves with TH and should of remember it was still a prequel and prequels always have lower then expected box office gross. Still i can't how WB spent so much on the first one $270 mil on production alone? Surely a combined $500 mil budget for both films the 2nd one would have a bigger budget to go with the appearance of Smaug and everything in general being on a grander scale?

    Skyfall had easily the best marketing campaign of the year and 2012 was the best year ever to release a bond film.

    Could still maybe make a $1 billion just proves nothing is a lock for $1 billion W.W only Avengers 2 and Avatar 2 are locks for a billion maybe lol!

    Westfield Starford is always packed awful place can't stand it food courts everywhere much prefer bluewater or lakeside.

    today is the busy shopping day of the year in the uk apparently Westfield in Stratford is more mental then usual!

    TBF the Russia winter stopped the entire German army so I'm sure it will effect the hobbits box office takings.

    Life of PI should have good legs it is fairly popular and well known book in the UK. I'm going to see it tomorrow accompany by half dozen fans of the book I also known a fair number of people who like the book so should be big in the UK. The great reviews should help with WOM to.

    Skyfall- good but not the best bond ever as i have heard more times then I care to mention.

    Don't think Skyfall will increase enough to make $80 mil in China. It's reviews in China are not as glowing as the rest of world. Also compared to europe and US Skyfall has not been as big in Asia i gonna predict between $55 to $70 Mil max for Skyfall. Also there will be a lot of pirate versions of Skyfall available in China by mid January time.

    It's all relative Lincoln may not have one of the biggest openings or biggest box office total for the year but relative to genre and pre release expectation it is one of the best runs of the year

    wow 50 shades of grey out sold potter 7. I knew it was very popular but nest selling of all time! Well since records began is insane could be huge here will certainly have a massive OW!

    $200 mil for Lincoln that would be insane not going to happen as much as i would like it to . If it did would be one of the biggest surprises of the year and all time lol!
