3 more reviews away from rotten. playing safe, may be 5. As far as I am concerned, this is very overrated. Should have been rotten from the word go like Mutants and Dark Phoenix. Worst superhero film since Suicide Squad that I have seen. I haven't seen Mutants and Dark Phoenix. Also not including stuff like Bloodshot, Hellboy.

It feel like initial reviews were planned that way. The reception is strictly poor in the three major markets I track the audience metrics; China, Korea and India.

the noon was very avg today, that basically mean the collection we see were pre-sales for night shows. the pace has died, it will be 12mn approx at 18:00, may be add a million more after that.

Weekend will still be hurt by lack of shows, so may be weekdays. But my issue isn't the daily collection trend but the occupancy. You basically have that really good trend because you have high occupancy on low shows, and every day shows keep increasing and collection keep increasing. Here occupancy is at very low level despite shows being super low.

Yeah today's New Year eve, though not sure if the benefit will be only on night shows or its full day thing. that's different scenario. EG had those high occupancies at 200k plus shows, Soul hasn't cleared 20% yet on even 30k shows.

Yep cancel Breakout. This barely seems like will touch 18% occupancy.

Box office in India dropped 83% in 2020, grossing just $270mn as compared to $1.58Bn last year. Almost entirety of 2020 number came till March, post reopening didn't even cross $10mn. Tanhaji was year topper with ₹324cr ($45.6mn) followed by Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo ₹227cr.

China box office in 2020 stands at ¥19.77 Billion ($2.93 Billion). It will cross the ¥20 Billion and $3 Billion milestone tomorrow, dropping 68% from last year. December 2020 will only drop 8% from last year, despite WW84 and The Rescue turning out to be Disasters.

Soul will have 75mn capacity, 20mn isn't really too high to expect 😉 If you aren't really filling 25% seats, you aren't really breaking out. Coco had 33% occupancy on 88k shows on its 2nd Saturday compared to 25% on its first Sunday on 59k shows. Soul 1st Sunday was 18% on 30k shows, tomorrow should be 25% at least and probably 40% on 1st on 11k shows. (WW84 went to 17% occupancy on Boxing day). Speaking of Dangal, well Friday - 21% Sat - 34 Sun - 35 Mon - 19 2nd Fri - 33 2nd Sat - 43 2nd Sun - 36 Dangal went crazy there 😛
