  2. Seems like $21.5mn Tuesday. Let's see how it goes. Christmas Day may be +10% Monday.

Till date 39 films have crossed ₹200cr in India, with 3 being from Hollywood. 2019, having 8 films in the list, same as last year, it was rather disappointing year for big grossers, with only one film in Top 10, none in top five.
  4. I never tracked a Christmas eve, so no idea how those PS gonna work. Gonna check some historical data but not sure if that will help.
  5. Hate we can't know weekend actuals anymore. BO Mojo international markets are now updated fast but weekend tracking is big loss.
  6. Will stick with $28.5-29 for now. F2 a bit down, sub 5% drop likely.
  7. The one advantage to HP, Star Wars, LoTR and Titanic is Japan where tickets are at same level in last 25 years. So if Titanic did $200mn in Japan in 1998, it will be doing $150mn Approx today as there has been no inflation but moviegoing trend has declined. Same for Potter 1 which did huge back then or Phantom Menace. Besides, yeah all Potter films will adjust to Billion dollar. In fact most likely over 1.3 Bn most of them.
  8. From early looks of it, SW shall be 28-30. F2 seems will have a bump of may be 15%. PS suggest around 20 but lets see. J2 sub 20 drop, may go as low as 13-14%.
  9. I watched HP films first time in 2013. They are the reason I am watching Bollywood films I must say. Also it was Twilight after that, (the first and last one were good)
  10. I think Avada Kedavara is more effective than Gun. Besides, a possible explanation is that I read somewhere that wizards have higher physical strength like road accidents, falling from broomstick doesn't kill them. I will say that if you can survive dropping from around 100m height, you can survive or make gun ineffective.
  11. Now that $575mn is a possibility, do you think it's a really good number? I will consider it a win. Yeah, yeah I am not usually so easily impressed with high numbers, but considering the hate TLJ received from fanbase, $575mn is really great number. It's only $100mn less than a very well accepted Infinity War which broke opening weekend record.
  12. Actuals my estimate. Let's see what Disney give. Friday: $89mn Saturday: $47.25mn Sunday: $40mn Total: $176.25mn
  13. Harry Potter is biggest there is after MCU. Even today. Fantastic Beasts which had just a mention of Dumbledore in trailer grossed $815mn ffs. HP8 did $60mn in China, shall be $175mn Approx today with market growth. India did $9.5mn in 2011, which was before Hollywood boom, could be easily $20mn today. So you have a franchise which had every part of the world in its pocket, not just Europe and NA or Asia alone.

  16. So Monday PS looks great and if they hold up, we are looking at $29mn Monday which is great. That would be 72.5% of TFA and co-incidentally weekend is also around that ratio. So, may be lets hold the meltdowns till 1st January or at least 26th December. That said
  17. Well, this is best day so far IMO. Looks like $29mn. I think it will drop in mid 20s on Tuesday and then stay above 30 till Friday. Perhaps $385mn plus by Sunday. Full run $550mn plus.
