  1. Damon's hair weirded me out at first, but I kinda got used to it. To me, it helps make him look more like the underdog compared to Driver and his better-groomed locks.
  2. I think Spielberg was interested in making it an HBO miniseries with Cary Fukunaga.
  3. Which, to me, suggests it probably could've broken even if it wasn't for the pandemic.
  4. She and van Hoytema also did Jordan Peele's upcoming Nope. Interesting that Nolan's decided to change things up like this.
  5. I had about 16 people (including myself) in the theatre with me. Most of the empty seats were the ones closest to the screen, which made it look a lot emptier. This is probably my favourite film of the year. It's going to stay that way since Belfast, Licorice Pizza, and Nightmare Alley don't come out here until January and The Worst Person in the World is due out in March (such is life in Ireland), but I also mean it sincerely. It's probably one of Spielberg's best films this side of the millenium. And Rachel Zegler's phenomenal. I'll probably see this again the first chance I'll get.
  6. Honestly, I wouldn't be too surprised if Craig got another BAFTA nomination, but I'm not holding my breath for it. Oscar-wise, I'm thinking it'll get nominations for Sound and Song.
  7. Does the NTTD production cost also include the money spent when Danny Boyle was attached? Assuming nothing like that happens for Bond 26, that should help it come in lower than this film.
  8. And Gladiator 2 is with Paramount. To throw in my own $0.02, Disney/20th Century fucked the film further with the release date (week after Bond, week before Dune, same week as Halloween Kills). It would've been smarter to do a limited release from early December before opening it wide in January.
  9. With Mangold directing and writing with the Butterworth brothers*, it should be. *they should write the next Bond film.
  10. It's okay for me to admit that I think Being the Ricardos isn't going to be much of a contender awards-wise, right?
  11. I was just being skeptical/wary/whatever. It's not a pleasant job, but someone has to do it.
  12. It's Screen Rant. Not exactly a pillar of journalistic integrity.
