  1. Haven't read it (though I might), but from looking at the blurb, Billy Summers sounds like it could make a good one (someone send a copy to Fincher or Villeneuve ASAP).
  2. Fun fact: Scott was offered The Wolf of Wall Street after Scorsese pulled out (and before Scorsese came back on).
  3. I didn't hate The Counselor, but I found it too bleak to really give a shit about it. I'm pretty sure it got fucked by the studio, so maybe if a proper Director's Cut comes out, I'll like it more.
  4. Saw The Last Duel last night and, while it is brutal as hell, it should've been a 16.
  5. Booked my ticket a few days ago for Saturday evening (I'm within walking distance of 4 cinemas, but annoyingly only 2 of them are offering showings before 8pm - my screening's for 5.30).
  6. I want it to be The Batman, but it would be so fucking hilarious if it turned out he's talking about the next Jurassic World.
  7. Seconded. I mean, I love superhero films and blockbuster-y films as much as the next person, but that doesn't mean they're the only thing I want to see in theatres. There should be room for films like this, otherwise things'll turn out boring.
  8. Didn't know that. Honestly, I think he could've been good at it.
  9. In fairness, this is Ridley Scott we're talking about. For all we know there'll be a 190-minute version released in the future.
  10. That would make him the first person to have directed for both James Bond and Doctor Who, funny enough.
  11. Wouldn't be surprised if it finishes up in the top 20.
  12. So am I. The domestic total depends on how good the legs are. If it holds like Spectre did we could see it finish up with around $155-$160 million total; Skyfall or Die Another Day-type legs would give a total close to, or slightly above, $190 million.
