  1. F9 MTC2 (315 theaters) Previews: Showtimes: 1854 Sold: 20004/285961 Friday: Showtimes: 4327 Sold: 18812/664084
  2. That's the error in the total sales calculation. Ignore those numbers for now. Tickets sold should be correct.
  3. The even bigger issue for scrapers (I think Keyser ran into this earlier as well) is that "unavailable" seats in DBOX showings have to be dealt with separately, since all the regular seats are marked as unavailable regardless of whether they are sold. That usually adds several times the actual ticket count (I think I got 42k for BW before I fixed this error and it dropped to 19k, it's probably worse for smaller films). My guess here is that Keyser fixed that big error but not the "DBOX seats greyed out in normal showings error", since that affects the number by a much smaller percentage. That would explain the discrepancy in our numbers.
  4. But both Hamilton and CRA were very well received overall by general audiences.
  5. MTC2 Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard (300 theaters) Tuesday: Showtimes: 1044 Sold: 1734/159529 Wednesday: Showtimes: 1956 Sold: 1961/322161 There is an issue with my calculation of total $ gross. So I will leave that out for now while I try to ferret it out.
  6. That could contribute to it, but I think the bigger issue is just that DBOX seats show up as "unavailable" in regular showings even if not actually unavailable. I had to subtract them out, then add back in any DBOX seats that were actually sold, but I may have been overzealous somehow.
  7. Most likely, either Keyser is double counting DBOX showings or my subtraction of the DBOX "sold" seats is subtracting too much. I tested it with my local theater but they are tricky to handle.
  8. Thursday: Showtimes: 2707 (+87) Tickets Sold: 23636/421168 (+4469) Sales: $293,584 Friday: Showtimes: 4771 (+82) Tickets Sold: 13055/742894 (+2715) Sales: $108,071
  9. True, but my main point was that SLOP2 wasn't a signal of some sort of box office apocalypse. If anything, I find that the holds this weekend have been pretty encouraging on the "return to normalcy" front, even if the openers have disappointed.
  10. SLOP had great legs but the second one still dropped hard. Drops are fairly common with sequels to kids' movies.
  11. Black Widow MTC2 (315 theaters) Thursday: Showtimes: 2620 Tickets Sold: 19137/409072 Friday: Showtimes: 4689 Tickets Sold: 10340/733806 Will add estimated $ values in tomorrow's update. Question to other trackers, have you guys been including social distancing blocked seats in the "Seats Available/Total Seats" number?
  12. Yeah going back to watch S1/S2 episodes of TCW is really crazy since when I first watched those I considered the animation pretty good for a TV show (and still do) but now seeing what S7 did and now Bad Batch which has even improved upon that is just crazy.
  13. A strong episode, my only real complaint is that I still feel like Echo/Tech could get more focus
  14. So Cinemark has dropped social distancing seats right? That would explain why my script is coming up with zeros for those seats when I'm trying to test.
  15. Personally I don't think BW-level presales will impact things much. As you said it's just not in the same ballpark as Endgame.
  16. Idk if In the Heights should be taken as some barometer of the BO if it has a disappointing opening as sales seem to indicate. I'm not sure where such confidence that it would've done well in normal times came from? Musicals can be hit-or-miss at the BO.
  17. There are a lot more things being set up long-term than any other SW show. Every episode except last week's has introduced some new plot thread.
  18. Much better than the last two weeks. A lot more turns and surprises in the action and narrative. I'm glad that we aren't just settling into a mission-of-the-week show (nothing wrong with those, but I think Bad Batch is stronger in a different format).
  19. Guess I missed the earlier post but three directors is kinda wild. That has to be pretty unusual right?
  20. Are yesterdays and today's numbers flipped or something? It went down 78 instead of up.
  21. That's different as it was already established since Endgame and further so in FATWS. But Endgame promised future journeys for Thor, not passing the torch of his series. Not to mention the name vs title issue, but that has been beaten to death in this thread already.
  22. I'd rather have a Thor movie be about the character who was centred in the previous Thor movies. If they want to make it just about Jane/Valkyrie it could have been called "Lady Thunder" or whatever.
