  1. Black Widow MTC2 Thursday: Showtimes: 3068 (+31) Tickets Sold: 54888/458026 (+3701) Friday: Showtimes: 5047 (+3) Tickets Sold: 38175/781317 (+3517) This is from last night. Thursday is ~2.5x F9 at the same point. Friday is ~1.8x F9 at the same point.
  2. Anyway as for the episode itself I enjoyed it once again, the performances are really making this show.
  3. Not scientific logic. Obviously fiction doesn't have to follow science. But there should be an in-story logic of how it works. Otherwise, I can live with it, but it's kinda annoying.
  4. Black Widow MTC2 Thursday: Showtimes: 3037 (+90) Tickets Sold: 51187/455399 (+3630) Friday: Showtimes: 5044 Tickets Sold: 34658/780475 (+3053) Pace is well ahead of F9 at the same point, for both Thursday and Friday.
  5. Can't wait to see this. The D+ shows have been fun and have some advantages over the films, but for me they haven't quite managed to capture that MCU thrill yet, so I'm hoping this can satisfy that craving.
  6. Yeah but does anyone watch MCU solo films and really think that the character's fate is in doubt? The heroes will never be killed outside of ensemble films anyway.
  7. I find it weird that some reviews are taking the timing of release as mark against the film. Yeah ideally it would have come out earlier but I don't think that should affect its overall quality.
  8. The more important thing is the pace ratio I think. Absolute numbers are still a small fraction of the final. From the 5-day number (which I assume the last couple of days would have been significantly over the first couple) it seems like the pace ratio is also solid but have to wait and see.
  9. Reading through Twitter reactions, seems like perfectly normal good reactions for a Marvel movie. Actually the later reactions are better than I expected given that the early reactions were a bit less positive than usual.
  10. Just to clarify I meant the summary that Napoleon posted earlier. Not an actual leaked plot. But yeah the summary sounds somewhat like that to me.
  11. Black Widow MTC2 Thursday: Showtimes: 2947 (+73) Tickets Sold: 47557/448596 (+8831) Friday: Showtimes: 5023 Tickets Sold: 31595/23261 (+8334) Saturday: Showtimes: 5145 Tickets Sold: 21421/804632 Sunday: Showtimes: 4711 Tickets Sold: 9791/732943 This is from last night. I was focused on F9 and then was busy for a couple of days, so this is about five days of data.
  12. Taskmaster being bad isn't that much of a surprise tbh. Would have been a lot more worried if the comments were that Natasha/Yelena aren't served well. The MCU has always been stronger with heroes than villains. Anyway if the embargo is lifting this early (is there a source for this?) then it surely won't be rotten.
  13. The simple answer here is that AQP2 got buzz, F9 got more buzz, and BW will get even more buzz.
  14. Another good episode. Not as much to say as the last two but we did get some clarification on things which is nice.
  15. Maybe, I would have thought this was true pre-pandemic as well, but the effect seems much stronger now.
  16. Yeah, this was even more so than AQP2. The final run was 302178. Even a straight comparison with AQP2 would have given 21.3, and since F9 had been overindexing at MTC2 I adjusted down.
  17. Dune is way more commercially appealing than Blade Runner. When I was pretty young I read it and was able to enjoy it as purely a sci-fi action novel with nice worldbuilding (though obviously it has more layers than that).
  18. 7-23-26.5-20.5 gives 77. It would need a sizeable Saturday bump. Not likely but high 70s is very possible.
  19. After the latest run its 270445 at MTC2. Probably it will break 300k by the end. 19-20 seems like a decent range, I will stick with 19.
  20. Yeah that was my goal. If I do this for a few big openers then I will have a good sense of the usual sales pattern each day.
