  2. I edited. Man I think Charlie has had a real learning experience today.
  3. On Pulse Fallout sold barely anything until release week then had a gigantic ramp up
  4. A- may be where it's headed but imo it will still have legs despite that like JWFK did. Still has a chance for A. And didn't Gitesh throw out some 68 million number for Black Panther OD once, I'd say he's more conservative on the rare occasions he gives numbers.
  5. Yeah, god forbid I like a movie you didn't or differ from the consensus views. I know it might be a difficult concept for you but maybe, just maaaybe people have different preferences.
  6. Your prediction was still one of the closer ones tbf. I have a feeling that TLK previews may have been more adult heavy than most on here expected which threw off comps slightly
  7. Haven't seen Minions or SLOP 1. SMH (Came out of this movie exhilarated. A blast and Tom Holland's Spidey is my favorite character in the MCU. The story also connected with me in a way few movies do.) 2. TDK (Love this movie but not quite as much as everyone else. Still an excellent movie with some great themes but I've always found Nolan's movies a bit emotionally flat with their protagonists.) 3. DMC (Excellent set pieces and worldbuilding, just a great summer blockbuster and nonstop entertainment) 4. TDKR (A little wonky at times with the plot but it gets the job done and is quite satisfying. A good conclusion to the trilogy) 5. TLK (really enjoyed it, well done remake, a couple of rough patches but it recaptures the original's emotional power and is a very beautiful movie) 6. DH2 (some parts are fantastic while other decisions are a bit questionable, overall a mostly enjoyable movie and hits the emotional beats but felt crammed/rushed. Haven't watched it in a while though) @LawrenceBrolivier mostly because JW didn't have such hype to get big previews or presales like TLK did. I don't think it's a good comp as Lion King has been building a massive amount of hype and presales while JW relied on walkups and nostalgia for the premise.
  8. FFH was an unusual case because it had a Tuesday OD with small midnights rather than previews. Lion King is a normal weekend release and should be more comparable to similar titles.
  9. Not previews. These are presales for true Friday. Although I am now pretty proud of this post as it seems I got the number right on the dot.
  10. 24 million in presales to only hit 75 means that it was as presale heavy as Captain Marvel. I highly doubt that will be the case. Being summer will boost Friday walkups, then factor in the huge amount of showings and less of the fanbase presales factor. The TS4 comp for instance suggests a 70+ million pure Friday.
