Well the trailer is dropping soon so we will have some idea.

The first movie wasn't really big in China to begin with and didn't have great WOM. We still don't know how this will behave in other markets. Maybe Frozen stole the family audience that drove the 1st ones box office.

The poster that they released was surprisingly huge so I think the trailer will be pretty big too. This movie has everything going for it to be massive at the box office. I hope the quality of the movie is good.

Looks like most other MCU trailers. If you like MCU than I don't understand why you would dislike this. I can't believe Rachel weisz is in this.

I feel if they were going for more of a character driven stakes than they should have spent more time at least developing the main leads. I found the character development very lacking. I love these characters and I struggled to get what was Anna and Elsa's character arc initially. All we have for Elsa is into the unknown telling us how she feels and nothing really for Anna.

I love Idina's version of Into the unknown. It has really grown on me after watching the movie. It has the sass and Confidence of Let it go Elsa. In to the Unknown and Show yourself complement each other. On their own they may not be let it go level but together they make up for it.

BATB is probably my favourite Disney movie and even I don't know any songs. Those songs are a bit old school and difficult to remember for non native people. Same with TLK. I only remember Hakuna matata.

Frozen's domination over Asian markets so glorious and impressive.

Watching this again tomorrow. Such a pretty movie.

Oh yeah Joker is a hugely popular character. I knew this would be huge when my sister said she wanted to see this and she doesn't watch CBM. This movie feels like a spiritual successor to The dark knight. But I do wonder how a fun campy joker would be received, people seem to like him a certain way.

There are 6 Frozen 2 songs that are charting on Melon right now (including taeyeon's version) and both show yourself and Into the unknown are top 10. Some will drop out of top 100 till evening but still great performance.

What do you think would be it's international boxoffice breakdown ? I remember just last year when some folks thought this would drop from the original. It's hard for such breakout hit to increase over it's predecessor. Frozen was such a phenomenon,it was bound to happen.

Good to see frozen 2 having a great drop. Hopefully it will follow Potus's best case scenario.

Well my frozen playlist starts and ends with Let it go so it's easy for me to rank. I like Frozen 2's soundtrack a lot more that frozen. All is found is magical it's probably my favourite. I like both versions of the song. Into the unknown is awesome too,Didn't like Panic's version but Idina's version is great. Elsa is so sassy in that song. Show yourself is great too But what I love about let it go is all the lead up to the song when she runs away and freezes everything. I wish they did the same with show yourself. It felt a bit rushed IMO. Anyway I'll be watching this movie again soon cause I was a little too excited the first time. Both Elsa musical numbers are glorious.

1. Let it go 2. Vuelie 3. All is found 4. Into the unknown/ Show yourself. 5. Do you wanna build a snowman. 6. Do the next right thing. 7. For the first time in forever. 8. Everything else.

I am still hoping for over TLK WW haha. But it won't be easy. Frozen I think will win in Asia, Latin America will be TLK and Europe will be close. Anything over 1.4 billion is great.

Anyway I hope Frozen 2 can pass The Lion King at least in Domestic market even if it misses worldwide.

Well I stopped watching after civil war but considering next two Avengers have the same directors as civil war, I wouldn't be surprised. Oh yeah I did see black panther. That was nice.

Not to bring this topic up again but I actually liked Age of Ultron than most MCU movies. But I also didn't have sky high expectations from it. Fun time. Civil war though argh. Good numbers for Frozen 2.

Frozen 2 is a really weekend heavy movie almost everywhere. I underestimated how much family skewing the movie was going to be. Even in my country lots of kids came to see the movie where usually it's mostly adults who watch animation. Let's see how this plays.

I really liked it. It's hard to top the Original movie for me since Frozen is one of my most watched movie. Still this was a great sequel. The music is great and animation is stunning. Will definitely watch it again. My complain with this movie though is that it rushes through plot points without much build up. Quiet a few moments feel unearned. Like I don't think Anna would agree to become queen of Arendale just like that or be Ok with Elsa living in the forest.I don't know how I feel about the ending. I would give this an A. Frozen on the other hand is A+.

I did honestly expect 550-600 million for Frozen 2 just because of how big a cultural phenomenon the 1st movie was. I still think it can surprise. On let it go, I always thought it was an average song catchy but nothing special. What elevates it is the movie. There is so much built up tension in Frozen leading up to that song, so when Elsa sings let it go It's incredibly cathartic. I wish they did the same with Show yourself. Still loved the song though.

Finally saw the movie. Absolutely lovely. It's low cinema score is probably due to some story choices other wise it's really great. Should have good wom.

I honestly refuse to believe that Frozen was any less of a phenomenon in North America than it was world wide. It sold so much on home media. It's domestic performance should be on par with Overseas, the fact that it isn't is probably due to Thanksgiving. Also we can't determine what it's WOM will be from 1st weekend or reviews. I mean TLJ had an A rating on cinema score and still had horrible legs. Let's wait before this whole doom and gloom.

I agree here there is a reason why the movie had a 130% bump on Saturday. I don't think Monday is a holiday, maybe if the movie is big with families that might have led to weaker evenings. Let's see how next weekend goes.
