People didn't care about Captain America prior to 2011 (or 2014 if you want to stretch it). I sincerely believe that one really good movie (non-controversial) would do wonders for the public perception of Superman.
They still ultimately had to make a deal instead of waiting for the WGA to get burned out. And they ended up paying more than they would have in the original deal.
I hope this passes and throws a wrench in the AMPTP's plans.
But seriously, I can't understand the logic of trying to stall negotiations when that failed them the last time.
And just like Zaslav, Iger is in almost no danger of getting the boot. As soon as revenue in the parks goes back up and they get more sizeable box office hits, the calls for his head will die down.
Same as it ever was.
The Flash was definitely egg on his face. But I don't think Zsalav is leaving unless it's of his own volition or a story breaks about him doing/saying something heinous.
