TMNT' Wednesday number is a reminder of just how bad MI7 did on OD Wed. TMNT did 3.9m on Tuesday preview but jump to $6.3m Wed. On the other hand,, MI7 had a $7m preview but only $8.5m Wed.
I don't understand how this is a valid claim when Elemental, a movie center around a water girl, become such a leggy run. Zootopia, Frozen 1&2, all have strong feminist theme and they all succeed greatly in SK.

$150m is making perfect sense when you realised the marketing campaign is so much more than just social media trend. Robbie and Gosling went on world tour to so so many cities around the world. And the barbie doll box at the cinema around the world, countless tv spot.
Yes, the 2nd weekend drop is indeed 10.5% but the Sun-Sun drop is actually 40%. That isn't exactly a good sign for the run going forward especially for 3rd week. The good hold in the 2nd week is more like the correction to the too little showtimes problem in OW.
