    If i'm not wrong i read time ago Ryan Gosling was in talks too to make this movie. So they didn't have like a whole story and idea (cause how Gosling could fit with this story?) but they build the movie on a specific actor, Timothee in this case. So this was the reason is so perfect for him.

    Well this saga talks really a lot about the middle east situation. Especially this second One is called to have a real political subtext. A review here in Italy from a very reletable outlet even called It "One of the best post 9/11 movies".

    Chalamet is getting oustanding reactions, especially for the last hour of the movie. This could help him next year to get the nominee..for the Bob Dylan biopic🤣

    A february release (before even the telecast of the year before) makes really hard to take the momentum. Also after Oppenheimer next year probably a very different kind of movie will win. Usually people (so then the voters) tend to push (even if unconsciously) a movie is different from the win before.

    The soundtrack is amazing cause this time there is also a more traditional Epic orchestral sound. The soundtrack is a mix of this, horror inspired soundtrack traditions and ethnical african- arabian music. All together creates this very original sound Its very fresh, distinguishable and instantly a classic.

    The movie is gonna a be a financial success so no reason to not make it. What i'm worried about is Villenueve said he want to make another movie before that (like Nolan with Inception) so seems like we need to wait at least 2028 for the last chapter.

    Dune US numbers will be good and with great legs (200M domestic are coming). Where is gonna shine is globally. The increases from first movie will be bigger than in the US. Markets like europe showed lately they want adult movies and quality

    I think Anyone but you is far way from something you can call a phenomenon. It started very low and now thanks to Christmas is showing good legs and increases. It's fun to Watch where It can go and to see a movie grewing up in a second weekend. But It needs way Better numbers and statistics to be called something even near to a phenomenon imo.

    cleary it is, with weekdays of 500K the drop next week will be massive but still could reach 5.5-6M final, so amazing. C'è ancora domani reaches 4.945.000 tickets sold. This weekend could already surpass Avatar 2 and its 5.058.000 tickets 💀

    it's a news this movie is doing more than Tenet (pandemic but stil...), Fantastic Beats and all these DC cinecomic are not Batman. Also because all of these got double budget and double marketing investement.

    The tracking for means girls is of course very good but could be another Wish case where very bad reviews could really affect late Sales and walk ups. Let'see

    seems like there is a new audience of young people now like to watch again cool adult drama. With a proper promotion and WW release is clear from limited numbers from USA, UK, Australia even Saltburn got a potential for a 50-70M ww final. Of course there are several variants and i don't want to say it has to make it but the double of that for Challengers for me is a fair prediction and not something out of the world.

    I really doubt someone last year thought Wonka + Barbie + Oppenheimer were coming for 3B globally combined. So I stay in my opinion box office is more interesting now. Challengers by Luca Guadagnino Is another movie box office run could be very interesting to follow.

    This holiday season box office is interesting. So many movies from different genres and you don't know exactly where they're going. This is excting about box office, not how many 200-300 M movies you can get. IMO finally box office is fun again. I can't wait to see how Gladiator, The fall guy, Wicked, Civil war, Beetlejuice ,Mickey 17, If and many others will perform. That era when It was all about if Ant Man 39 could make 250M or 300M (repeat for 15 times in a year) It's finally over 😇
