thanks I'll be in latin america in december, so thats where ill probably end up watching avatar 2 Dont think the somewhat close cinepolis has imax available, but which one is better between macro xe 3d and traditional laser-projected 3d? But if anything changes between now and december imax 3d should be my choice right?

Assuming avatar 2 is not too frontloaded it probably can 1.5 billion should be enough for the 2022 ww crown, avatar 1 did 1 billion in 19 days without china, meaning that if it performs similarly it just needs china to do 500 million in 16 days (doable I think) to reach 1.5 billion 1.2 billion might be enough for the 2023 crown 2.7 is all it probably needs to achieve that, just a question of how its distributed, 3 billion gives it a lot more wiggle room Just a question of how frontloaded it is

One thing that I dont see mentioned as one of the many reasons for the flopping is the extreme tonal shift between the first and second trailer, the first trailer presented the characters as "degenerates" for lack of a better word, in a way that seemed to reinforace many of the negative stereotypes of gay deviancy, meanwhile the second trailer made a big effort to present it as a sweet vainilla pg-13 romance. I was never going to watch the movie, but while the first trailer weirded me out, the 2nd trailer made me a maybe, but then I remember the first trailer, and I wont see the movie. Cant imagine such extreme tonal shifts being good for marketing. -
I assume they likely drop the 2nd avatar 2 trailer with bp2 Does Black Panther 2 exist in 3D? If yes, are people buying? any indication of there being a smilar 3d push to the DS2 got? How did thor in 3d do?
