  1. sometimes it just down to luck but I imagine they tried to get a 50/50 split for 2d-3d screenings, I assume itd happen gotten an A+ if they went for majority 3d screenings wonder how theyll do it for 2
  2. my guy really just brought up the possibility of the US of A reaching the wc semifinals as if it were the most normal thing in the world cope has consumed that man's mind
  3. my not very serious inflation calculation points to BP1's adjusted ow being at or very close to 250 million, does that sound about right? seems pretty wild that WF might have lost 60-70 million worth of tickets sales from the first one
  4. Was Monster Hunter rise: sunbreak good? Probably the best 2022 movie ive seen (havent finished blonde), it has some boring stretches and I could have done with maybe 20 minutes less, but when it tries to its just so darn entertaining and everything it does it does pretty well
  5. but there was hype coming from some of the few insane people that read the script, and thats where the "legend" was born
  6. cause we've been hearing about this movie for a long time, its a very oscar-baity story and the "epic" script has been leaked since day one
  7. At the end of the trailer is says "real 3d" Isnt avatar already facing a 3d screen shortage? is there a cinema owner in america thats going to give up an avatar 3d screen n exchange for puss in boots?
  8. Apparently Puss in Boots also wants to release in 3d, dont know what'll happen there
  9. Dont know why I was still expecting raves after that awful trailer “Damien Chazelle brings buckets of energy to BABYLON, but it’s never not pounding and obvious and, finally, uninsightful. Everything about it is borrowed...a Scorsese coke film by a squeaky clean director.” -Joshua Rothkopf (LAFCA) Maybe that serves as an explanation, Chazelle focusing all of his energy on trying to prove how "bad" he is and ignoing everything else in the process
  10. https://web.archive.org/web/20100208112852/http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/avatar/?critic=creamcrop Was at 94-95% with "top critics", not with "all critics", was misremembering
  11. top 2, winning best drama and best director at the golden globes does that to you
  12. after years of shitty blogs who saw the movie on their laptops and whose main complaint was that the movie was "pocahontas in space" dragging down the score, pretty sure it was at 95% back in december 09
  13. feel like itll drop to the low 70's or high 60s some of you folks are still a bit inexperienced when it comes to interpreting social media reactions
  14. was kinda "meh" after the first watch, but the new trailer has really been growing on me after a couple of rewatches
