There’s plenty of rock’n’roll fighter-pilot action in this movie, but weirdly none of the homoerotic tension that back in the day had guys queueing up at the Navy recruitment booths set up in cinema foyers. Weirder still, it is actually less progressive on gender issues than the original film, which did after all put a woman in charge: But where, oh where, is the towel-round-the-waist, semi-nude locker-room intensity between the guys? There's that reddit post chronicling a lecture by a fox executive that proposes an answer/tries to explain to the culture relevance question Now it is often asked why is Avatar so forgotten over the past several years? This is apparently a deliberate decision by Cameron. He had thousands of offers to do toys, animated series, more video games, etc. And he deliberately turned it down. For one I don't think he had much interest in trying to run that empire that Lucas had for years (was more into deep sea diving and organic wine haha) and two they knew they were so over exposed in 2010 that they had to retreat from the market until the sequels were almost ready.

Can avatar 2 win the calendar year? unless JW overperforms 1.5 billion should be enough for that, avatar 2 will have 18 days to do so, force awakens did it in 19 and infinity war in 11 Leaning a bit toward no cause the 1st falls on a sunday, but i'm open to the possibility
