  1. No The avengers is the only avengers movie that should even be in the top 10 superhero movies ever made
  2. Mission impossible 2 (2000) won the summer, was #2 domestic and #1 ww that year, hopefully Top Gun (Tom Cruise) can be #2 domestic again Edit: not sure why I said again
  3. Will we (the poor and lazy masses) get access to all that stuff online or is a good chunk of it gonna be conference exclusive?
  4. They'll probably announce some acquisitions, mostly related to cannes movie if I had to guess They got Parasite, so im sure theyll get one of the 2 korean films competing in cannes and maybe something like Triangle of Sadness and one of the other completely international projects If I was at cinemacon and believed Neon was premiering a Decision to Leave trailer id make sure to go check out their presentation And they also need to make people see the much better french trailer of the Cronenberg
  5. There gonna be any sort of live streams or are we going to get all of the information through articles?
  6. Only differences are asians doing more (6 to 21) and whites doing less (58 to 46), all other audience demos are pretty much equal to what they represent as percentage of the population. It's pretty obvious that asian led movies will perform better with asian audiences, in fact crazy rich asians did 38% asians, so i'm not exactly sure what's remarkable about this. Sure the rollouts started in the big cities where coincidentally more asians live, but thats what indies have always done
  7. I see Hobbs and Shaw as pretty much a straight comedy, something entirely separated from the main franchise but was very entertaining (funny mostly) for what it was, , its just that I was straight up bored during parts of 8 and 9. I also really like 2 for some reason Fast 5 Furious 7 Fast 6 2 Fast Hobbs and Shaw Fast 1 Tokyo Drift Fast 8 F9 Fast 4
  8. Don't think there's really any precedent for us to compare it to, but considering avatar is the 3d movie i'm sure there's going to be demand for it, and I doubt there's too many people, specially if the audience is mostly made up of big fans and newcomers, who after seeing avatar in 3d wont want to watch the sequel. The probably shouldn't do a month long re-release with a massive marketing campaign, but having it run for 2 weeks with an avatar 2 trailer attached should do more good than bad
  9. Haven't seen the movie yet, tomorrow probably, but hasn't the "big-brained" (quotations marks imply some degree of irony) talking point always been "hey, isn't it weird how the Batman franchise lines up well with fascist behaviour?". Are those 2 terms somewhat interchangeable or is it a much different type of batman?
  10. Whats does Northman do that creates friction with general audiences? EDIT: The northman topic says it probably has to do with someone the titular northman kills, surprised thats causing problems for an r-rated viking movie
  11. How did lionsgate screw up Talent's marketing campaign? Looking at it from the outside it looked pretty good
  12. Kravens more well known that #letosweep and Madame web and is a more interesting character, writers are pretty mediocre but it should probably do ok
  13. I dont like Del Toro but some people (including academy members) clearly do, if its good enough his pinocho should be a player
  14. Spider-verse delayed to 2023, meaning that if Untitled 20th Century Studios Film (releasing wide of september 23 2022) is the avatar re-release itll have 3 weeks of puss in boots being its only real competition, I also dont think halloween ends will use 3d, so it can hold onto the vast majority of 3d screens for 4 weeks until black adam That of course only applies if theres demand for it, and I think there is
