  1. Oh. That's kinda surprising. But fits with what Grace Randolph said in her SDCC video, even before this article came out. She said that she hears Marvel will spotlight She-Hulk, Black Panther 2, GOTG Vol. 3 and Loki Season 2 and leave the new announcements for D23. Worth reminding this year's panel is only 1 hour, 30 minutes shorter than the 2019 panel. Let's see if she gets this right.
  2. Isn't the WB panel only 1 hour? It's official that they will talk about Black Adam and Shazam. I wouldn't be surprised if they release the 1st teaser for Shazam. And to the public also.
  3. I think some are getting way ahead of themselves. The MCU Direct Twitter account is certainly shooting for everything with their predictions. It's crazy. I think everything is pointing to D23 being the priority. I think I've said in the Black Panther thread but this is what I'm expecting from Marvel at SDCC: (Reminder that, compared to the 2019 panel, this year's panel is 30 minutes shorter. It's only 1 hour this year. The Animation panel is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Actually longer.) 1) Just to get it out of the way, I think that in the Animation panel, they will announce What If S2 to premiere this November, around the same time Hawkeye premiered last year. They will talk about XMen 97 and Marvel Zombies. But that's been officially revealed. Maybe they announce 1 new project. Or leave it to Disney+ Day. Whatever. 2) She-Hulk. It seems like they will go big with it. It would be awesome to bring the cast to the fans. And I expect it. Show maybe a new teaser. Or a clip. 3) Halloween Special. I think they will bring this. It's not even officially announced yet. It's crazy. So I expect a official announcement. The actual title reveal. Bring the cast on and officially announce them. Announce some interesting characters that will appear. Some footage in some way. 4) Black Panther WF. The big explosion. The world premiere of the Teaser Trailer. In other words, release to the public. They HAVE to bring the cast on stage. Official announcement of Namor and other cast members. 5) Guardians Special. I think we will get something on this. I think James Gunn will come on stage. Maybe even something on GOTG Vol. 3, just maybe. Maybe show BTS footage of the Special. 6) Ant-Man Quantumania. Maybe? Show some BTS footage. Maybe bring some of the cast on stage. 7) Secret Invasion. I guess they would bring the cast on stage. Have the awesome Samuel Jackson there. Talk a bit more about the project. 8) Leave with a big Blade like casting announcement. This is where I think they will announce the F4 casting. End it just like they ended the 2019 panel when they brought Blade and announced the casting. Maybe save the director announcement for D23? I will admit most of it I kinda copied from a reddit user, but I just agree so much with this that I had to take it.
  4. I don't see why. Something had to move away from July and Madame Web did it. And on its place there's a horror blockbuster which is just great. Good play by Sony. The Marvels is in a great position. So is Indy 5. If Disney puts something in December, that something would either be Blade or Snow White. Just my 2 cents.
  5. I can't even describe how excited I am for this. Florence is one of the most exciting stars right now and it just looks really good.
  6. Lightyear ain't making shit tho. I think in these cases, where a movie is just a embarrassing bomb, 45 days at best is the way to go. I agree that movies that are big like Top Gun or Doctor Strange, or movies that are performing well in their scale like a Elvis or movies just performing well in general, the 45 days is early.
  7. If there's hype, buzz or interest, people will go to the theater to see it. If there's good word of mouth and reception, people will at least think about going. Lightyear had none of it. It was a movie that no one asked.
  8. Really excited for this. Is TIFF the 1st place we will hear reactions about it?
  9. To me this is Sony that will want Madame Web to capitalize on Spider Verse multiverse. Because that's what this movie is. Disney won't give up this July date because one has nothing to do with the other.
  10. I do think it's a error. If it was a co production, we would know by now. And Disney just recently swapped Ant Man and The Marvels.
  11. I think Blonde is the movie I'm most excited for Oscar prospects.
  12. Yeah that's exactly my point of what San Diego could mostly consist. Down the line projects and already know projects given the more comics fan nature(She-Hulk, BP2, Halloween Special, Guardians Special, Ant-Man Quantumania, Echo, GOTG 3, Secret Invasion - these are all projects releasing 1 year from now), leaving the next road map (the big stuff) for something under the Disney event, like Disney Investor Day. But D23 is live and in person. And this is only possible because of how much content Marvel is putting out.
  13. Just a feel combined with some journalists pointing that She-Hulk and Black Panther 2 will be 2 big highlights of the panel. Also, after the smashing event of Disney Investor Day? Everything under 1 event. I don't know if Chapek maybe would request to leave the big announcements for D23. Just throwing it out there. Just speculation on my part. I think we're also in much different times. In SDCC 2019, we didn't have another 4 MCU projects just until the end of the year. And 4 movies and 4 series in the next year. There's so much going on in the MCU. My guess is that in San Diego they will talk about upcoming and already known projects. And there's clear precedent for it. Feige does not drop everytime at SDCC. And D23 make all the big announcements of new "unknown" stuff. Could be wrong. We will find out this week and I'm effing excited. I don't have any expectations. All I want is the trailer of Black Panther 2.
  14. I think this SDCC will be more in line of 2016 and 2017. Talk about upcoming projects. Like She-Hulk, Black Panther 2, Halloween Special, Guardians Special, Ant-Man Quantumania, Echo, a bit of Secret Invasion. Maybe GOTG Vol 3. They will have animation panel to talk about their upcoming and already announced shows like What If season 2 and other 3. And maybe have a really big announcement like F4 casting. This ain't 2019 anymore. There's much more going on. Idk why but I have a feeling Marvel will go Phase 5 announcements big on D23. And I feel like some insiders and journalists have been pointing towards it.
