  1. Damn you Summit, damn you! Perks and its cast did phenomenally with critics awards.
  2. I would have geine this drivel a C had it not been for this garbage: So I gave it an F. WTF was Spielberg thinking?
  3. Waltz was originally campaigned in the lead but critics started to nominated him in supporting, undoubtly thinking he would have missed a nomination in the Lead since it was really stacked up. So Harvey switched to supporting campaign thus creating a situation where 3 actors from one movie are splitting votes.Another thing that hurts Django boys is that DeNiro and PSH are from Harvey`s stable too. So it`s 5 Harvey actors vying for 5 spots and 2 of them are already taken by TLJ and Arkin. They are not moving. So it leaves 3 spots for Harvey men. PSH seems safe despite The Master losing support. 2 spots. DeNiro is almost safe. 1 spot. 3 DU actors, Bardem, Henry. Take your pick.
  4. Argo scored the all important Ensamble on top of Arkin nod in supporting. ZDT didn`t get Ensamble and it`s a complete bullshit that SAG didn`t the movie. They nominated Chastain. End of. So this Argo advantage isn`t something to discard lightly.
  5. Please get Bets Picture nom! I`m so nervous about Thursday nominations. Please, please, get a nomn, get anom. That`d extend its domestic legs.
  6. Close ups work on Redmayne`s face. Try that on Bombur`s make-up, ha,ha,ha.
  7. That`s true. PLus Oscars are paying the trubute to 50th Anniversary.
  8.  Do the math. It`s than $180 mio away from $1 billion and it hasn`t opened in China. In short, yes, it`s locked and so is $300 mio dom. But I hope it misses all of it. BOMB TH TRILOGY BOMB
  9. Skyfall is beating Shriekapoo OS for sure. Can China + holdovers take it past Shriekapoo WW? Can China put its OS to $800 mio?
  10. DDL is a lock and his situation is uncomparable to Streep`s because he is in the baitiest role since ever. Streep`s nominations between her second and third win were not undeniable and quite a few were "Because she`s Streep" rather than because she really was better than the next actress vying for the 5th spot. Lets be realistic here. Julia Child is not Lincoln. Not even close. What DDL also has on his side is that his movie is a bone fide blockbuster and he has swept most precursors so far. His biggest competitor, as far as critics go, was Phoenix who may get a snub altogether. So unless SAG and GG drastically change the wind (DDL is winning BAFTA, that`s a given) , he`s winning his third.I`ll repeat this one more time. This is a strange year where many frontrunners are past winners and even recent winners (Bigelow and her now ex boytoy Lipstick). So unless absolutely all members are so careful to push only first-timers (Affleck, Cooper, Hathaway), there will be couple or more past winners winning again. And of those potentials DDL looks the most solid.
  11. Whiny Floppit bitches are at it again. Your ridiculous overpredictions turned TH into a Floppit and now you are desperately trying to spin it into an overpeformer. Oh, it won`t pass $300 mio! Oh, it passed $300 mio! Overperformance! Nobody saw this coming! OMG!Fuck that shit. Seriously, it`s doing OK. How can it not pass $300 mio if it`s only $37 mio away from $300 mio? It isn`t like I`m in charge of cutting the theater count for it to drop off the face of the Earth.
  12. You mean handsome, no? This is a man,no?
  13. OK, so an underdog shitty looking horror that isn`t screened for critics tops the boxoffice over movies expected to duke it out for the top spot. This is what we call a great weekend as opposed to boring one if TCM indeed opened #3 or #4. Hey, I`m a DU cheerleader and TCM robbed DU of the top spot but since it made for interesting BO, I`m OK with that. DU crossed the milestone, is doing sensational for ultra-violent R rated controversial movie that isn`t everyone`s cup of tea. So I`ve no problem with slasher fans happiness over TCM success.
  14. I would love that DU number but what about NFL drops? Did they take them into consideration or not?
  15. Just read Simulated Oscar Ballot at Crone`s. Everyone who saw Perks has the movie and its cast on their ballot in all major categories. Summit really screwed the pooch with this one.
  16. NOOOOOOOO, it`s just 0.2 under $20 mio for DU! C`mon DU, c`mon! You can do it! C`mon !
  17. Totally. It needed to get to $100 mio as soon as possible cause R-rated competition is doubling next week (ZDT and Gangster Squad). But it`s a week of Oscar noms too.
  18. And people still wonder why studios love 3D. You can`t bootleg a 3D movie in perfect quality so that forces the audience to see the movie in theater.
