  1. I dunno, there were a couple of DC movies in the '70s and '80s that proved superhero movies could be successful that you might have heard of. Those films are the reasons we have superhero movies today.
  2. I mean, with the original Grinch on TV six or seven times in December and the Jim Carrey version playing every other day on Freeform, will the animated movie really be that huge?
  3. Wow, WW is going to easily cross $400m. A couple of weeks ago we thought that it would crawl there, if it got there at all. Tele's club will happen.
  4. Solo superhero flicks that have grossed $350m, unadjusted: The Dark Knight The Dark Knight Rises Iron Man 3 Spider-man Spider-man 2 Deadpool Wonder Woman
  5. If I may ask, how old are you European guys? That may have something to do with not knowing Aquaman.
  6. Man, 1991 was a beast for my childhood. I was five years old that summer, and T2 was the pop culture beast that no one could escape, even at 5. I had the Captain Hook action figure that made Hook bigger when you pulled his legs (teehee). I also had some action figures from Robin Hood. Man, studios really did license out EVERYTHING in the '90s. Beauty and the Beast was the first movie to ever receive a standing ovation at the New York Film Festival. It is about as perfect a movie as there is.
  7. At the height of the Golden Era, Louis B. Mayer was the highest-paid CEO in America.
  8. 2017 is turning out to be like 2011. Pixar sequel won the previous year, everything animated in 2011 disappointed at the box office. Also included a Cars sequel. Odd.
  9. 3D Looney Tunes can definitely work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4tyoRbVpRE
  10. A League of Their Own is such a classic. I can watch it anytime, any place and be fully entertained.
  11. Can we talk about me instead?
  12. Why don't you sit in the corner looking pretty and leave the talking to us girls.
  13. 1990, the year that kickstarted Julia Roberts' stardom. I don't think anyone would argue that she was the biggest movie star of the decade. I love Dick Tracy. It's super fun and it gave us one of Madonna's greatest songs: "Vogue."
